Well it seems that the Westboro Baptist Church, is at it again. This time they want to picket the funeral of just died actress Natasha Richardson. It is only 70 of them and they are still making news around the world. Check out the whole story at http://www.phillymobile.com
 
Maybe we should "pick it" them when they die at their furnerals with family, calling them Pharisees/Sadducees. Think they're up to it to have their families harrassed in their time of sorrow. I got news for them, not everyone who has AIDS got it from being homosexuals. Some were birth into AIDS, some from blood transfusions. So they want to judge the innocent who recieved help from her donations because of the aids virus? These people need serious prayer.

I've been in a lot of Baptist churches, sad to see a name like the Baptists get dragged down because of a bunch of looney-tunes.
What really gets me mad is when they picket soldiers funerals.
I've served in our army and if I was at a funeral and these cretins showed up, well...I would not want to be them. :grumpy
 
They're not really Christians. They're non-Christians (possibly atheists) who parade as Christians to make us look bad. I've seen many similar sites to theirs. One is called godhatesrapevictims. You only need to spend a few minutes reading their articles to realise this.

its really sad that when a family member dies, you have to worry about somebody picketing to carry a message. its already tough for a family member to grieve their lost one. the addition of picketers just makes it worse.
 
Wow. That's aweful that people would actually do something so disrespectful and cruel.
But then again, I've seen much worse happen. :shrug So I guess it's not such a surprise.
I still don't understand how people can be like that, though.

Yes, it sounds pretty unbelievable.

Do a google search and read some of their tracts. When I say "they are not Christian" I am not committing the "No True Scotsman fallacy" at all. The only thing I'm guilty of is using my God-given brain.

When they explain their reasons for believing that God hates rape victims, they finish off by stating "You may download this page in tract form and pass it out to show your Christian love and compassion.". I may be a Christian, but I'm not stupid. I can spot sarcasm as well as any atheist.
