This Christmas Holiday Are You A Giver? Or a Receiver?

In the loving bounty of Christs wholeness we celebrate the day the king of the world came to earth.

Very often this day is capitalistic and materialistic. We want. We shop. We make lists and we hint to others what we'd like them to buy, wrap, and give to us on Christmas day.

But what do we give to others in the spirit of the season?
When Christ was born to become a sacrifice for the world.

I'm not speaking in terms of buying gifts for family and friends. I'm asking what do you give to those who may have nothing? Not once a year mind you, but all year round?

How about a wish list for those who are in our prayers? In our line of sight as we walk our streets and see them begging for a few dimes? Or as they sleep in the cardboard boxes they call home, and we call recyclables.

This season in the spirit of giving, give!
And make a world of difference.

Let's share thoughts on how we can be an answer to a prayer from those who are desperately hoping to survive, when Christmas is just another day of trying to.

Give:

To food banks
Homeless shelters (your own home baked meals, large vats of soup, giant, bread, cakes, pies, etc...) Clothing. Business cards if you own a business and you're hiring.

Animal shelters. (Old newspapers for pet home liners. Pet toys (dog and cat) . Can's of wet dog/cat food. Bag's cat/dog food. Leashes. Harnesses. Collars.'

Pay the toll for the car behind you when you go on that road trip for holiday family vacation.

Buy the small amount of groceries that senior citizen has on the belt in front of you at the grocery store.

May we all find the gift of peace, love, happiness and abundant blessings grace our lives this Christmas and always.
And may we be the gift to the needy when we're needed.
We are the angels of a lifetime.

Spring Waters:

It's all about giving, yes!

I like the words:

'Blessed be God, our God,
Who gave for us His wellbelloved Son
The gift of gifts, all other gifts in one,
Blessed be God, our God!
