I have tried some real time flight trackers before, but I like this one the best, just do a search where you want, and put your pointer on a plane and click, and the flight path will come up and and speed and how many feet up on the left. This is one of the easier ones to use.

THAT IS POWERFULLY COOL !!!!!!!!
It even shows a photograph of the plane in the upper left hand corner if it's available.... besides all the pertinent speed and location information.

Hrumph! Nobody likes me. Everybody hates me. I'm gonna go eat worms.

Hey........... I got feelins' , ya know.

OK......... So I really don't.....

I just put in Philadelphia in the search, and the air traffic between Philly and New York is crazy, maybe it is because of the holiday. Air traffic controllers has got their work cut out for them.

OK, let's not push it......

A friend of mine told me he was tracking a plane that his son was on and was coming to Iceland. He looked at the cockpit view, and noticed that it was shaky. When he met his son at the airport, he asked him whether there was any turbulence at the place where he had noticed the shaking, and his son confirmed that there was.

That is creepy. Can you imagine watching the plane your family is on from the cockpit and the plane goes down :neutral

I have yet to get the 3-D (cockpit view) to function.

That would be kinda creepy. You don't actually see the plane or what the pilot sees, just what's on Google Maps for that location.

What browser and OS are you using? It won't work for me, because I have Linux, and the Google Maps plugin is only for Windows and Mac. You might have to get the plugin or use another browser.
