This Movie Doesn't Really Make A Lot of Sense :/

Since Halloween is in a few days I am currently watching E.T. Don't get me wrong I love that movie and E.T is a loveable little alien, but I've never understood a lot of the storyline. Such as why he got sick and why he and Elliot were able to be so connected with feeling each other's emotions? Are there any other fans out there (I think that Michael74 is one) that can explain this to me?
 
I am not 100% sure, but ET may have been ill from living in an environment unsuited for him. The emotion thing feels like some crazy telepathy type deal. Was it after ET touched his finger? Maybe it enabled them to be connected somehow...maybe it was the alien's own unique gift.

It has been forever since I have seen ET.

That's my answer to all science fiction movies. A medical robot programmed for ET's physiology could have kept him in good shape. A repair robot could have repaired ET's space ship.

ET the movie is all just pretend though. It doesn't really have to make sense. ET's health did what it did because the writer thought that would make the plot more interesting. No other reason. ET is just a puppet on a movie set.

Good point, but ET was so lifelike that most of the time I forget he isn't real.
 
Grew up on that and Nina wolmarks other stuff such as Spartacus and the sun beneath the sea(les monde de englonte)and also mysterious cities of gold.
 
I binged watched Ulysses 31 last year.Greek myths explored with the way she directed it ,it could remade this day and suceed.
