Those who delight in their cunning

humble soul

Hey I'm not blameless. I have chuckled to myself when being able to trick someone.
Or make myself look good when I was hiding my weakness.
It's about survival, I doth protest .
But to think of someone laughing to themselves after sin, is hideous. Like the salesman who sold someone a house for way too much money.
The Satan in us is hard to deny. I don't like this part of me.

Or just the feeling of winning.
Recently got into Scrabble online. Won 20 games in a row. Started feeling like King Kong. And others just sad losers.
Then boom! Brought down to earth. By players much better than me. Reality check.
When we start feeling invincible, we need a reality check.
Even number 1 in world tennis gets beaten. No one wins every single time. There is always someone who can dethrone us. Bring us back to the pack.

As i joined a football team to try get some fitness, socialise, build confidence, and do something i enjoy all at the same time for the first time in 20 years.

I mean first game i collapsed just warming up and only lasted about 10 mins on the field and had to go off because im so unfit, now i can handle a full game and the last 2 games i scored a goal each game and im starting to get more competitive. I will never be as good as i once was as A grade representative but im having fun.

There is always one thing i do , we usually always lose and it sucks to lose but i always thank the opposition every game and say well done because they help me improve. I would rather play more challenging than easy, well cant get more easy than us at the moment. Lol. As much as losing sucks if you can acknowledge the winners without having a cry your doing well.

The truth is the truth. They won, they are more fit and played better than us on the day. They won we lost.

You are a good sport. And sounds like you were a very talented player.
And your recovery is sounding very positive. Keep it up.
I continue to lose weight. I surprise myself with some self discipline.

I started playing football when i was 5yo and in my early teens played 1st division and then played representative but i quit from the pressure. I just enjoyed playing the game but it got to the stage of me having to sell out so i quit.

I played one game for a regional city a couple years later and scored 2 goals the first game we played and we won but i quit and never went back as i was getting lazy as i was a drunkard and rather drink beers. I only went to one practice and played one game.

20 years later here i am. Lol. Unfit and trying to kick a ball straight.
