When Babel was being built everyone was of one language. God destroyed Babel and also
made different languages so they could not speak to one another.
Now im sure God knew and had no fears of them building a tower tall enough to reach his dwelling place.
Im thinking he did this to separate the people, not so much as to keep them from reaching his dwelling place.
In todays world people are mixing throughout the world.
this mixing of nationalities is it going against Gods will
or am I off track with my thoughts?

I don't know the answer I am just ploughing through thoughts.
at the time God separated people with the language and destroyed the tower I do not think there was any mixing of nationalities I could be wrong.
and so it makes me wonder

uhm what was at horeb and it wasn't all of Abrahams seed that were there and became Hebrews.
im not for multiculturalism but I do like pluralism. allowing some mixing of culture is good. besides English is really the combo of latin, French, anglo-saxon. the later is the union of the jutes and the anglo people. both of which were from Bavaria. the French in there is from the norman(Viking -French mixed) invasion. I haven't included the celtic influence either.

Surely that was the reason he confused their language. He did it in order to break the strength of their unity in making a name for themselves:

4 They said, "Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth." 5 The LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. 6 The LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing * which they purpose to do will be impossible for them. 7 "Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another's speech." 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city." (Genesis 11:4-8 NASB)

Until recent history the separation caused by our languages and cultures has kept us from uniting as one in an evil human agenda to 'make a name for ourselves'. But everyday in the news we see the barriers between the languages and nations being torn down in the name of humanism, aka 'globalism'.

In todays world people are mixing throughout the world.

I don't know if it's against God's will in and of itself to be united, but I definitely see that mankind has not ceased from that which is not God's will--the arrogant pursuit of the greatness and praise of man apart from his God. The agenda being served in our efforts to reunite as one in the world is evil, not, IMO, the point itself of seeking unity among all men.

It may be that unification is leading to the end times.

All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. Revelation 13:8 NIV

Unification would smooth the way to one global religion, beast worship, except for the few on the narrow path. The pagan school system is preparing young minds by turning them away from the Bible.

Of course, no man knows the day or the hour.

"Babel" (baw-bel) means confusion, and when God brought confusion to Babel (through a multiplicity of languages), He caused the idolators to disperse to the far corners of the earth. The tower (ziggurat = temple tower = dwelling places for the gods and goddesses) of Babel was dedicated to idolatry and the worship of the heavenly bodies. Hence the same idolatry exists throughout the world in different forms. So even though they dispersed, in a sense they remained united in their idolatry.

But you cannot separate Babel from Babylon, and you cannot separate Babylon from Satan, therefore you cannot separate Babylon from idolatry (spiritual fornication) of the worst kind. Babylon will be revealed as the worldwide idolatrous political and religious systems of the Antichrist overlapping each other and fully controlled by Satan -- Satan will be worshipped in the coming Babylon in the form of the Beast.

The whole world will unite to worship the Beast and his image, and the whole world (apart from a few who will be martyred) will be condemned to Hell. Thus Babel, Babylon and Hell have been linked from the very beginning, since Hell was created for the Devil and his angels.
