Hi all. Here is my newbe blurb. I grew up in northern regions where religion isn't so very much shown in day to day life. Parents didn't take me to church either. But some group came along when I was young and threw me my free bible which I eventually went and read on my own accord. I took it the way I took it and had trouble trying to explain to people I was a Christian without ever having been to church. Later in life I tried multiple times to find a church but each time found that my conception of God didn't match any of those I came across. I seem to have the ability to quote from the bible and make many a christian blow their top. I think I might be a fundamentalist but who knows? Then one day something strange happened. I was on a trip far away from my northern kingdom and I met these people who said they were southern baptist. I said my views and they nodded in agreement instead of giving the usual "you can't say that!" accompanied by complete disdain. It was very trippy. Anyhow, this should be interesting to see how people react to my posts. I'm so used to people disagreeing with me that I'm shocked when anyone agrees... but I do believe that my northern kingdom is at an advanced stage of eliminating christianity and that much of my disagreements are caused by people in churches more indoctrinated by secular humanism than reliance on the good book.
