Throw him a Bible

Hi all. Here is my newbe blurb. I grew up in northern regions where religion isn't so very much shown in day to day life. Parents didn't take me to church either. But some group came along when I was young and threw me my free bible which I eventually went and read on my own accord. I took it the way I took it and had trouble trying to explain to people I was a Christian without ever having been to church. Later in life I tried multiple times to find a church but each time found that my conception of God didn't match any of those I came across. I seem to have the ability to quote from the bible and make many a christian blow their top. I think I might be a fundamentalist but who knows? Then one day something strange happened. I was on a trip far away from my northern kingdom and I met these people who said they were southern baptist. I said my views and they nodded in agreement instead of giving the usual "you can't say that!" accompanied by complete disdain. It was very trippy. Anyhow, this should be interesting to see how people react to my posts. I'm so used to people disagreeing with me that I'm shocked when anyone agrees... but I do believe that my northern kingdom is at an advanced stage of eliminating christianity and that much of my disagreements are caused by people in churches more indoctrinated by secular humanism than reliance on the good book.

hi persecuted.

for sure relying on the book, the bible is the best thing you can do. though not every bible is the exact same, for example the jehovah bible has ten plafues in egypt. where if i recall correct it's sposed to be seven. for as far to that.

but i think you are absolutely right to take the source where all comes from and base yourself upon that. also i think is funny that here where i grew up from day to day life a lot of believe was still found among people who didnt or dont even attend church or so..(for example talking theorys of what jesus be like when he would come back)

i just walked round in the garden here, round the table over the tiles. and thought will my past 'persecute' me. coinsidence;)

an aspect i find most important of the bible (jehovah) is that the diciples where pretty much upset about the crusifixian, or hanging jesus on a pole'. and that they wouldt keep quite about it.

paul or saul?? is the one who truly jumps out as the one who i find has got the most compasion for jesus and the litllest of lack in faith. he carried his scar too'..

i was about to open a post to ask what people think about jesus's crusifixian/hanging on a pole.(but then i saw your introduction title:thumbsup) since within the bible it's not standard aproved'. and as jesus says to the ones whom believe in justice would jubilate. and i dont see no justice in crusifixian. and the set up some ones say that goes with it.
all i really think of it, if it goes that way. is that it can be compared to some other ancient civilisations or tribes who would for ex. throw someone in a vulcano so their god would favor them.. i see not much difference in people who see jesus as a sacrifice for their sin.. when it comes down to rightiousness justice and morality.

i can accept it though that each may have their own opinion, whats yours about it?;)

1 statement i know that lets me know more disagree in it is that the temple was torn in 2...

Hi Persecuted,

I hear your story while i'm a non-denominationist i highly regard independent and fundamental Baptists.

Because they use the Authorized King James Bible and for other reasons.

It's a battlefield out there, i pray that your sword will scare the enemy away.

Blessings,

AK
