To know Him, (Christ.) and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made the same, unto His death.

Apostle Paul was shown by God great suffering for the name of Jesus Christ.

Paul taught how we are heirs of God, if we suffer with Christ, to be glorified together.

Acts 9:16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Apostle Paul showed how the sufferings of the present time cannot be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Peter spoke about being partakers of Christ's sufferings, and when His glory shall be revealed, we can be glad with exceeding joy. ( the sufferings of Christ revealed in us, are the glory of God.)

1 Peter speaks of witness of the sufferings of Christ, how that is being a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed. ( the glory revealed, are the sufferings of Christ.)

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 Peter 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

Apostle Paul shows how the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so that our consolation also abounds by Christ.

Knowing that we are partakers of the sufferings, so shall we also be ( partakers) of the consolation.

2 Corinthians 1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

Apostle Paul ( who was shown how great things he must suffer for Christ's name sake.) tells us how we are not to be terrified by our adversaries, which is a token of perdition to them, but to us, it is of salvation, of God. As it is given in the behalf of Christ, to believe and to suffer for His sake( as it was for Apostle Paul.) as we are to have the same conflict which we saw in Paul, and heard to be in him.

To know Him ( Christ.) and the power of His resurrection, the fellowship of HIs sufferings, being made unto HIs death.

Philippians 1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Apostle Paul informs us we should not b moved by the afflictions, as we are appointed to them. We should suffer tribulation.

We glory ( the sufferings of Christ are His glory revealed in us.) in patience and faith in all our persecutions and tribulations which we endure, they are a token of the righteous judgement of God, to be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which we also suffer.

The faithful saying is, if we are dead with Him ( with Christ.) we shall live with Him, (the sufferings of Christ revealed in us, are the glory of Christ revealed in us/Christ living with us.) if we suffer, we shall also reign with Him. ( confessing Him and not denying Him, evidenced by the afflictions of Christ in us, and not the persecuting deniers.)

Apostle Paul had persecutions, afflictions, Paul endured and the Lord delivered him out of them all. All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. ( the glory of Christ is revealed in them, which are the sufferings of Christ.)

Paul rejoiced in the sufferings for the body of Christ, to fill up that which was behind of the afflictions of Christ in his flesh, for His body's sake ( which is the church.)

1 Thessalonians 3:3 That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

2 Thessalonians 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

2 Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

2 Timothy 3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Colossians 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

God made Christ ( the captain of our salvation.) perfect through sufferings.

Although Christ was the Son of God, He learned ( for the body.) obedience by the things which He suffered, and being made perfect ( by that learning.) He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him ( who follow in the sufferings of Christ.)

Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Christ suffered in the flesh for us to arm ourselves with the same mind, as the suffering in the flesh is the ceasing from sin.( when the glory of Christ is revealed in us, the sufferings of Christ are the ceasing from sin/we are dead with Him, to live with Him.)

When we are reproached for the name of Christ, the Spirit of glory and of God rests on us, on our part God is glorified, on the part of those who reproach, God is spoken of from their evil.

Those who suffer according to this will of God, are committing the keeping of their souls to Him, in well doing. ( enduring the afflictions of Christ, as nobody can keep their own soul alive.)

The highway of the upright is to depart from evil, he that keeps his way preserves his soul.

The God of grace calls us unto His eternal glory by Jesus Christ, ( the glory of Christ is revealed in us, which are the sufferings of Christ revealed in us.) after we suffer for a while, we then are made perfect, established, strengthened and settled. (the captain of our salvation Christ Jesus, was made perfect through sufferings.)

Psalm 22:29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

Proverbs 16:17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

1 Peter 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

1 Peter 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
