I'm confident that our natural appetites are not sinful, but lust is.
So what's the difference between lust and the natural appetites of the body and soul?

Don't think it's in the Bible, but I've heard it said that the seven deadly sins are basically just human qualities in excess. Kinda makes sense.

I don't think there is a difference. This is a perfect example why human beings can only be saved through the intercession of Jesus Christ.

Yes, we are able to talk ourselves into accepting most any sin.

I do appreciate the scripture you provided, interesting point. Even so, I would say that the things listed in that definitely fall under the seven deadly sins. So I feel that even if the concept of the seven deadly sins is not directly mentioned in scripture, it doesn't appear to contradict scripture either. I see the concept of the seven deadly sins as a summation of the human qualities that cause or motivate sin; we do have a sinful nature after all.

I think you need to define your use of "lust" better. Afterall, lust is really just a "strong desire" for something. Many associate the word with sexual desire, but that's not the only definition and not every type of lust is necessarily bad or sinful.
