Shalom,
Rom 12:5 So we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Sometimes I simply must step back and look where GOD is taking me and simply marvel at how HE brings things all together "for such a time as this." (Est 4:14)
We are called to belong not to just believe!
Are you as committed to GOD's other children as much as you are to yourself? Are you as involved in the things of the church-world as much as you are the things of the 'world'? Can you and/or others see that you are committed to GOD via your level of involvement in your church?
GOD has never desired that anything be alone! HE, HIMself has never been alone! Before there was anything else HE existed as one and yet as three. When HE created Adam and then placed him in the garden east of Eden HE stated, "It is not good for the man to be alone" (Gen 2:18)
None of us can fulfill our calling, the will of The FATHER, alone! We were created for fellowship, family and/or community. We were fashioned in HIS image. We are connected to each other in the very least, through HIM!
There will be times when we walk in opposition to the world, even the church-world and appear to otherwise be all alone but even then we will be in fellowship as long as we seek HIM.
Hbr 13:5 [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Worry not of these times but glory in your relationship that despite all else you will strive to serve HIM!
Jhn 12:43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Seek HIS face!
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
To what communion do you belong? Is it the communion of the world, the church or of HIM?
1740: English revivalist George Whitefield wrote in a letter: 'If I see a man who loves the Lord Jesus in sincerity, I am not very solicitous to what...communion he belongs. The Kingdom of God, I think, does not consist in any such thing.'
