And today God has not smitten us off the face of the planet in hasty wrath.
Temperatures could be worse, sweet fruits could be bitter, pleasing aromas could be rendered foul and choking. Time could quickly be swallowed up by his breath.
But he has not done so. For the works of his hands are mighty; too many to order or count.
For he has given us life, and he has let us lived. He has let us behold the beauty of his creation for moments more. And as many senses that we have, as many he has still gratified in his glory though we sinned.
