"We then factored in FBI rates of aggravated assaults and Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers on workplace deaths from assaults and other violence. And because rage and the road often go hand in hand, we also included traffic-congestion..."

No surprise to me. My city has some extremely rude, aggressive drivers, lots
of speeders, tons of people who love to tailgate, don't use their
signal lights, cut in front of you with about an inch to spare for braking,
speed through school zones, park their cars using 2 -4 spaces, flip the finger, etc.
Once, a man in his pickup truck actually turned his vehicle completely around in the
west bound lane, in order to threaten another driver. I witnessed this happen, about 3
months ago!

QUESTION: Anger is usually sinful, IN THAT it's self-centered, selfish,
infused with hate, bigotry, immaturity of some root or another.
Does that mean that these top ten cities have the biggest population of sinful people?
Cities can be packed with religious facilities, yet, have an abundance of sin.
Is all this anger and road rage sin, in your opinion?

Florida has some of the most angry people around.
I suppose it's because of the vast number of tourists, being unfamiliar with
the laid-back, Southern way of life, they get impatient, or judgemental, and decide to let er rip.

Florida has a huge number of non-natives living in it's state.

I would guess Orlando is an angry city because of, again, large numbers of tourists, traffic jams when Mickey Mouse land closes for the night, and
just a large number of unChristian people.

The larger a city gets, seems like the meaner the people become.

Who would have ever thought 2 cities in Tenn. would make the list even above NYC! Hmm, I wonder about the accuracy of this study. I could see Atlanta making the list before these 2 cities.

Welcome to New York!! :-D

I don't know how they missed Philadelphia. Philly is leading the nation in killings this year. But my wife and I are moving to the south, in the first week of October.

It's hot and HUMID down here on the gulf coast and that makes is VERY IRRITABLE! :) Hence all those Florida cities and southern cities :)

Just another reason not to mess with the South. (just kidding)

:)

P.S.
St. Louis is an honorary Southern city, even though it's really sorta mid-west.... Mostly because I like St. Louis. The image in my avatar is a picture I took of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. If you go to St. Louis, you have to go there. Most beautiful church I've ever set foot in, by leaps and bounds.

I was born in #10 and work in #5.

It must have a lot to do with the traffic.

I love St. Louis. Grew up there, and live near it still...sorry to see it made the list at all. The Lord bless you.
