Here's what I can think of, probably left some out

1)Matrix
2)Lord of the Rings (either movie :) )
3)Interview with a Vampire
4)Devil's Advocate
5)ConAir
6)X2
7)Point Break
8)Dogma
9)Clerks
10)Dirty Dancing

Seems to be a consistent "hunkish" thread running through this list, from what I can tell!

1) The Passion of the Christ
I saw this movie shortly after I was saved, and it boosted my faith to new levels of strength and conviction. Heh, many of my friends have quite disliked the change in me since then, tough on them eh? Great movie.

2) Forrest Gump
An amazing story that no matter what holds you back, God gives you gifts, God finds a way for you. People who are not percieved as "perfect" in humanity's eyes can touch and influence the lives of many. Never judge a book by its cover.

3) Bruce Almighty
Hilarious movie with a great message. What could have been potentially blasphemous turned out to be both funny and humbling. You think you can do God's job better? Think again!

4) Jesus Christ Superstar (2000 edition, 1973 edition is trippy and weird and stuff)
I get the feeling I'm gonna get in trouble for this one. This movie is a perfect representation of decay of faith in society today, how images and appeal have become more important to many people than Christ. If you look in the right places, this movie/musical serves as a good wake-up call. Also really really good music.

5) What about Bob?
No real depth here, just good funny stuff.

6) Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Ditto above.

7) 10 Commandments
As though it needs explaination.

8) Prince of Egypt
Ditto above. It's innacurracies are forgiveable in lue of the great music.

9) The Shawshank Redemption
A story of hope, power and triumph over oppression, as well as the exposure of false-righteousness. A little heavy.

10) Ferris Beuhler's Day Off
A good times movie. As an 18 year old recently graduated, this movie has obvious appeal to me.

Heh, none of the other posts really had explainations for their movies, that's alright. It's just my way (Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good.- 1 Thessalonians 5:21). Props to those who read my droning! :D

Here are my fav's, mostly older movies. Ones that you can think about AND enjoy.

1. The Third Man (1949)
2. Casablanca (1942)
3. Dr. Strangelove (Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb) (1964)
4. Bridge Over the River Kwai (1957)
5. The Best Years of Our Lives (1946)
6. Life Is Beautiful (1998)
7. Unforgiven(1992)
8. One Flew Over the Cockoo's Nest(1975)
9. Dr. Zhivago(1965)
10. Braveheart(1996)

Honorable Mentions: Schindler's List (1993) & Pulp Fiction (1994)

And no, I am actually pretty young and these are actually my favorite movies.

I've seen so many movies that it's really hard to make a top ten. I'm going to try to do so soon. I can say that my favorite movie of all time is The Breakfast Club. I'm not sure if the only reason I love it is because I identified so well with it in High School, but I've watched this one dozens of times and it never gets old.

1. LotR (all three from PJ)
2. StarWars (more the old ones, but i can't wait for May '05)
3. The Princess Bride
4. Pirates of the Caribbean
5. The Sound of Music
6. The Man from Snowy River
7. Hidalgo
8. Superman
9. Spiderman
10. dunno what else

3 lord of the rings fotr
4 underworld
