Touchscreen Monitors

With the recent upgrade of my desktop PC to Windows 10 I was thinking it might be time to upgrade my monitor to a touchscreen. Of course the obvious downside is the increased effort that will need to be made to keep it clean, especially with as many kids as we have, but does anyone see any reasons to upgrade than not?

Its strictly a matter of personal preference. Do you prefer to use the keyboard/mouse, or the monitor?

Why? Mouse is much quicker, and you have to keep the screen close. Your just trading a mouse pointer for a finger. Also with Cortana, you can just tell Cortana to open a program, give Her a math problem, ask her the length of a movie, tell her to open a web site, ask the weather, and tons of other things she can do.

With the amazing things Cortana can do and mouse, I would leave the touch screen for phones and tablets, keeping my monitor clean and things from getting spilled on it, or even knocked over.

i prefer a mouse, in my opinion touch screen is a privacy issue..

The touchscreen, called Fiberio, is reportedly capable of recognizing individual fingerprints which, the researchers hope, may make it possible to access content specific to the user.

Using Cortana just means I have to get a microphone for my computer, which I may already have in my webcam, but I like to type in my searches. I don't even use the voice activated search on my android phone.
