Training People In Excellence At CFN

True story. I had this short dream not long ago. I'm a member of several Christian Forums, and I got the distinct feeling I was wearing out my welcome at one of them. Then I fell asleep. When I woke up, I saw three brief images. First I saw an arm stretched out and pointing away, as if to say, "Go!" Then I saw the insignia of Texas A&M University. Lastly, I saw former President George Bush Jr, and he was seated next to his wife on a bench and smiling widely. Then I woke up.

I thought, "Ok, now what was that?"

Then it slowly dawned on me, "Texas A&M.... weren't the Bushes associated with Texas A&M University in some kind of way?" So I went and looked it up, and then found this. The Bush School of Government & Public Service:

Political affiliations aside (and yes, I know they're globalists), I believe the meaning was this: As a member of the staff here at CFN, I believe the Lord Jesus Christ has called us to train fellow Christians in the art of excellence in "public service," or in other words in how to treat others honorably while in the public eye. I had absolutely NO knowledge of this school before having the dream, so it's one of those things where the dream confirmed itself internally.

But what a wonderful word from the Lord, and what an honor it is to train fellow believers in how to treat others respectfully online, doing so by example, especially those we share the same faith with.

Blessings in Christ to all who read this, and I pray the community here at CFN does just that.

A good word especially for those in the 1st third of their lives. I like a quote from Denzel Washington I read today, although it had to do with his acting career. He warned about political manipulation from both parties, and said that our lives are in thirds, "learn, earn, and return."

Your word is excellent for those in the "learn" stage. But we can continue to learn throughout our lives. And living exemplary Christian lives is what life is all about. Thanks brother!

Thank you for acknowledging.

Yeah, some people in the know might take issue with using the Bushes in a positive sense morally. My view here is that even ruling families who are corrupted by the world system can nevertheless have some good and positive qualities about them, and be used as examples to point out various things going on in the lives of the saints.

That’s a nice thought for us to hope for.

I know this though. We need a strong Spirit filled Christian influence in leadership positions in all the 7 mountains of influence in this nation.

Not sure what the seven mountains refers to, but I know we need strong Spirit-filled influence everywhere where our presence can be felt, so with that I absolutely agree. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

New Apostolic Reformation

I have Charismatic/Pentecostal friends who stand against this. Yet it is a Charismatic/Pentecostal group that promotes it. I'm not going to turn this particular discussion into a debate about it--just say that we all agree that Christianity should influence politics in our respective countries. Right?

Certainly, and in a positive direction. We cannot say we care about people or our country if we take no consideration for who will lead them.

That's a post millennial position. No, we can't usher in the return by in essence making a Christian Torah.

That would mean the first amendment is as follows:

You may blasphemy any god but not God
You may not worship any other deity

As much as I would like that, if Israel as a nation couldn't keep from idolatry we certainly won't.

Jesus said compel and preach, not coerce, imprison them into Heaven.

That doesn't mean we can't influence

Yes sir. I believe this movement began with the Lord when He told His disciples to be salt and light.

In our generation though it seemed to have started with a mandate from the LORD to three individuals in the US in 1975.

The movement is believed by its followers to have begun in 1975 with a purported message from God delivered to evangelicals Loren Cunningham, Bill Bright, and Francis Schaeffer ordering them to invade the "seven spheres" of society identified as family, religion, education, media, entertainment, business, and government.

Looks like the NAR was birthed in 1996.

In 1996, Wagner organized a convention with 500 evangelical leaders, the National Symposium on the Postdenominational Church, including the organization of the church and evangelism, at Fuller Seminary. It addressed the changing organizational forms Wagner saw in churches, which he considered a radical paradigm shift. Other, more traditionally denominational Pentecostals such as Wagner's Foursquare friend Jack Hayford disagreed with the term postdenominational, however. Shortly before the symposium, the term New Apostolic Reformation was adopted to refer to the new movement instead.

So you don’t believe that Spirit filled Christians should be salt and light in our culture?

As I said, I'm not going to turn this thread into a discussion, for or against, the NAR movement. I've never really been a part of it. I can say this much that some of the people I have benefited from are men like Jack Hayford, Bill Bright, and Francis Schaeffer. If some wish to discuss this further, I will have to feel that all are comfortable with it. Thanks.
