True Meaning of Religion
When Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit they placed God's knowledge of Good and Evil under the dominion of mankind. Religion is the quest to try and give back that authority to God and free ourselves from the unending conflict of desiring both good and evil all at the same time.
When Jesus Christ, God become man, came into this world Jesus (hint: the word made flesh) restored the knowledge of Good and Evil to be under God's dominion once again for all those under God's New Covenant (hint: through the indwelling Holy Spirit).
It must be remembered that God gave mankind dominion over the world and since God created man from the dust of the ground (hint: the world) God gave mankind dominion over himself. When mankind ate the forbidden fruit mankind snatched God's authority over good and evil and placed it under their own authority through an act of covetousness (hint: which is a sin ).
Jesus didn't covet the authority over the knowledge of Good or Evil, nor did he obtain the knowledge of Good and Evil through sin passed on by Adam and Eve through birth (hint: a virgin birth). For Jesus Christ always had the knowledge of Good and Evil, and authority over the knowledge of Good and Evil, simply because Jesus Christ is God become man.
Jesus Christ, God become man, came into this world to take back the authority of Good and Evil for all those who become believers in Jesus Christ (hint: the New Covenant). In return those who believe in Jesus Christ will gain eternal life with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit in heaven forever!
Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to find true peace and solace as God will silence the evil in our hearts by taking authority over our knowledge of Good and Evil (hint: which was coveted and then stolen by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden)...and then get baptized!
