I don't want one who trolls the American public on purpose, says horrific things because they're "entertaining", runs on a fascist platform (whether for effect or seriously doesn't matter to me), and is a fraud, scammer, sexual abuser, insurrectionist, and cheat.
And it really baffles me to see so many Christians not only vote for such a person, but actively support him in a way that is borderline cultish.
What apologetics? All I see are some conservatives trying to convert people from racism.

Add in his fascist platform and it's just amazing to see so many Christians who seem to be in love with the guy. But every time I wonder how that can be, I remind myself of one thing.....the existence and persistence of televangelists. It seems evangelical Christianity and support for bizarre, obvious con men go hand in hand.
The last 3 are false. And if we are to pretend President Trump to be an insurrectionist, we should arrest John Nichols. The woman "defamed" by Trump was caught lying about the whole thing. And cheating on income taxes is suspect, after all Mitt Romney paid less and use the same tax "cheats".
Anti-immigration is not a fascist plank, BTW. But immigration is always a socialist cause and leads to fascism and socialisms. When people like Goldilocks steal porridge and trespass, the violence that could become fascist.
Term limits mean you will not vote for the same underperformance twice.

I dont think Trump has ever gone full fascist tyrant. Like through covid he never...
1. Took full control of the media.
2. Attempted to cencor anyone who disgareed with government policies.
3. Anyone who did not do what he wanted them to do then openly admits they are second class citizens and have less rights than everyone else.
4. Asks the public to snitch on people who thry rhink is acting suspicious and disagree with government policies.
5.. Anyone who dared go government ground to peacefully protest got sprayed with sprinklers and blasted with gulag tourture music.
The list could go on. Thats a few things i had to live under the last few years.
