Biblereader,
Thank you for the tip. My own time in the prayercloset is much of what Nate preaches. Or worse. I asked Him where we were at in America, and the scriptures that came to mind were awful. "Worse than one in a thousand" "Days of Noah, when eight were saved."
Nate was talking about the spirit of delusion, because nearly everyone has turned away from the love of the truth. They don't even know, or care, what this warning means.
The scriptures have many commands. Some are prefaced with a "be diligent to...." A few have a "with all diligence..." But only one admonishes to go beyond even that intensity. 1 Peter 1:10. "Be even more diligent, to make sure of your election and calling."
A simple red flag that indicates a need to check out, in fear and trembling, our salvation, that He gave me, was the question: "What is the difference between deception and delusion?" If you don't know a God-given answer to that question, the chances one is deluded are too high.
So many traditions received from our fathers are aimless. (1 Peter 1:18.) What, we must ask, anew every day, must I do to be saved? Working out our salvation with fear and trembling.
I'm glad to know that others are hearing similar things from the Spirit.
