trying to put a video file on my mp3 player

I downloaded a video from iTunes today, and I've been trying to sync it to my mp3 player. (Which plays video files, too.)
The only program that will sync with the mp3 player is Windows media player. The problem is WMP won't play the video file, so it won't transfer it either.

I tried downloading and using a video converter, but apparently it doesn't do .m4v's.

I use FreeStudio for things like video conversions, andit's pretty good for free software. Can't remember if it does m4v's but it's worth a shot.

What type of player is it? Knowing the specs will help to figure out what you need to convert the video.

I'm not sure what type it is, but I know it'll play AVIs, MPEG4s, and WMVs.

I'll try that next time I'm on the other computer. Thanks.:)

So by now I've tried several programs that claim to be able to convert m4v's. None of them worked, and one my anti-virus didn't like.

Try just opening your file manager, look for your mp3 player as an available device, and copy the file over to the mp3 player.
