Re: his actual statements vs what the media reports. I found a serious comparison of this on YouTube, well before the election. It was an eye opener! I heard and saw many things as they developed and was well aware of media spin, but watching that made me realize how much had happened while I wasn't looking!

It's vicious. But Trump also contributes to it, as you say probing for reactions. When the reaction is further alienation? That's risky. This is a significant difference between business and politics.

But, I have seen him say that even though it was no fault of a sub that they couldn't deliver on something, he often brags about how he let them take all the fallout and financial loss. That may be thoroughly legal business tactics, but it is skirting honesty with hiding behind slick paperwork.

where and when did you hear him brag about this? - that seems so unlike his character - do you have a link to anything like this? - i'd need to hear it for myself to believe it
