jeremiah1five

For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 2 Peter 2:4-6

But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 5-7

What is the point you were making about these passages and how they relate to Satan?

I'd like to read you closing the space between sentences and paragraphs because it takes a lot of space.

Now, in response:
There is no Satan loose on the planet.
They have been restricted and locked up (which is restriction) and if there is a fallen angel named "Satan" that sinned he was locked up.

I place this locking up between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, before God created man.

God has covenant with Abraham and the children of Israel. He does not go back on His Word. But if He 'destroys' someone in covenant in a physical sense and there is no indication of a spiritual or eternal ruin then those He destroys are still saved because of covenant.

Paul in Romans 11 says, "and all Israel shall be saved." He doesn't say they will come to accept Jesus as their Messiah but merely that "all Israel shall be saved."
Covenant.

Most Gentile Christians believe this "locking up" took place because they as spiritual beings married and mated with human, material women. This is incorrect.
The rebellion of Lucifer (whom Gentile Christians say is "Satan") was a rebellion that took place "in his thoughts" as "he said in his 'heart' "I will..."
God dealt with him immediately and the Son (Logos) who was the one that cast him to hell saw this as He cast him to hell. "Strange flesh" does not mean human women.

And 2 Peter 2:4 says these things and uses literary device to describe his thoughts. He says, "as an example."
Now what?

Hey All,
Why is there a space (I presume you mean a period of time.) between Genesis 1:1 and 2? Where in Scripture tells us this?

"Now, in response:

I place this locking up between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, before God created man." Quote from Jeremiah1five

If Satan is locked up, who was it that tempted Jesus in the wilderness?

Matthew 4:1-10 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

In verse 10, Jesus specifically called the "tempter" Satan.
Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,
Taz

We don’t have to wonder about whether Satan, the Devil, the Serpent in the garden of Eden is a real being or not, because the same Devil, the same Satan, that tempted Eve in the garden is alive on planet earth today… doing what he does; deceiving people into thinking he doesn’t exist.

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:9

If you choose to walk in deception that is your choice.

There are not two ways of temptation but one:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
James 1:14. (the word "lust" means "longing." Nothing dirty about that word.)

And Eve was tempted the same way: from within.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat... Gen. 3:6.

The "serpent" was her carnal mind, the "worm," if you will Jesus spoke about in Mark (I think.) Jesus was tempted the same way. From within.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
Mt 4:2.

He was alone in the desert with only the Logos (Deific) nature and the human nature, and it was the human nature that was being tempted and tried and tested. It says He was hungered. He knew WHO He was and knew He could turn those stones into bread to eat (but I doubt that as the Holy Spirit that 'rested' on Him was the power behind all His healings, etc., and if Jesus really wanted to turn stones into bread, He'd need the Holy Spirit to do it and He wouldn't because that would have been sin. But it didn't turn out that way.) There was no one else with Him in the desert. The human nature was being tested.
So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:9

Yup.
This needs to be understood further because this statement must be reconciled with Peter and Jude saying the angels that sinned are locked up.

…. AND ENTICED!

If you choose to remain in denial of the scriptures and deception, then that is your choice.

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:9

The same Devil, Satan who deceived Eve, is the same Devil who will be cast to the earth.

Satan entered Judas and used him to betray Jesus.

Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” John 13:27

Satan, the Devil tried to deceive Jesus the way he deceived Eve.

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. Matthew 4:1-11

You need to get past these Scriptures. If you can't then you need to revise your understanding of "Satan" and "devils" and "demons." Because the angels that sinned are locked up.

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
2 Peter 2:3–4.

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Jude 5–6.

There are no angels that sinned against God loose on the planet. It's just God and man in this arena.
And there'll be only ONE winner.
Guess.

You need to get past these Scriptures.

You can’t get past these scriptures because the stronghold in your mind concerning the truth these scriptures reveal is exalting itself against the Knowledge from God.

Read and meditate on these scriptures and ask the Spirit of Truth to give you understanding about them.

Or you can ignore them and remain deceived.
