What unusual food have you eaten ?

Not much for me .... just turtle, frogs, iguana and crocodile ... just to name a few.

:thumbsup :D

None, I think.

Motto: Don't eat anything that stares back at you on the plate. :rolling

If I some day travel to Iceland, I will try the local hakarl.

Preparation:
dig a hole in the ground
 catch a shark
throw the shark in the hole and let it rot there for three months
dig it up and hang it on a wall
leave it there for another three months
 eat raw

The following is copied from the net:

On season 2's Iceland episode of Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, Andrew Zimmern described the smell as reminding him of "some of the most horrific things I've ever breathed in my life," but said the taste was not nearly as bad as the smell. Nonetheless, he did note that hákarl was hardcore food and not for beginners.

Well, I didn't start this thread :D

The most unusual food I ever saw was definitely no gourmet delicacy: My aunt, notorious for creative cooking, brought a cake to a family gathering. The frosting was yellow and looked delicious...until she said, "I didn't have any yellow food coloring, so I used mustard."
