Been watching my book's inventory climb and fall over the months as books are printed then shipped out, printed again to replinish stocks and shipped out again...over and over totalling 10k + copies printed and shipped. Sales statement shows 0 sales. An independent business owner and an attorney agree with my assessment and conclusion. They concur I am a victim of crime. Please pray.
Sorry to hear about this, Dan. I will pray, and trust the Lord that He will take care of you regardless, so focus on Him and not this incident or the people who did this to you.
My mother is a writer, and she was approached recently about one of her books and potentially making it into a movie, only they wanted $150 up front to cover some "minor" expense. She didn't have it because she's elderly now, and might have been depressed if she thought she had missed a big opportunity, so I sent her the money. But I knew it was very likely a scam, so I told her, "If they ask you for anything else, it's a con." Well, they set her all up and got her hopes going, and then finally put her in touch with head man who makes it all happen, and sure enough... wanted some obscene amount of money and the movie deal was hers.
People are sick, and it's why I'm thankful there's a Hell, because there's a lot of people out there who deserve more than simply being excused when they die for destroying other people's lives. You wonder how many old people they succeeded at ruining...
