Security and stability in the Mediterranean Region
245. 'A coalition government under Prime Minister Ehud Olmert won a vote of confidence in the Knesset on 4 May 2006. The coalition consists of Kadima, the Labour Party, Shas and the Pensioners' Party. Prime Minister Olmert has named 2010 the target date to set the borders of Israel for which the West Bank separation barrier would be the basis. These would take in the large settlements on the Israeli side of the barrier. The tens of thousands of settlers living in West Bank settlements beyond the barrier would very likely be evacuated.'
