I live my life as best I can
Trying to follow His example
Questions arise and doubts pondered
But I still hold the course

Ridicule and animosity I encounter
But to them I turn the other cheek
I may think impure thoughts; revenge
Self control wins out in the end

Temptation can be great, born of evil
Trying to bring me down amongst sinners
In times of need my prayers are lifted up
As well as times before the bed lights go out

Courage runs deep in my veins
As my faith holds me true to life
I live as a Christian in a world of sin
Waiting for heaven...

Was this poem actually written 2-5-2010?
It is different than your poem: Who Are You?

I did not sense any syllabic rhythm/meter
or any rhyme scheme. I do like the content.

Do you have any older poems/sonnets?

Yes, all of my poems are 100% original, written off the top of my head on the date specified. Most of the time they are out and posted in around 10 minutes.

I use a variety of writing styles in my poetry. Sometimes I rhyme, sometimes I use free verse. I don't restrict what I write. However it comes out, there it is!
