They get more than enough mindless fan mail, yes?
How many celeb interviews show their frustration that so many folk just gaze at them, open-mouthed, making them feel like freaks?
How many read/hear such interviews & pray for the clear vulnerabilities of what are clearly folk feelinh under intense & often scary pressures
How many have read celeb bios & notice how often it's great weaknesses & hurts that make so many celebs addicted to the limelight in a desparate attempt to compensate for broken/abusive relationships etc
How many email their fanzine sites/International Who's Who links etc?
How many try & engage songwriters, filmmakers, actors etc in what those often lonely folk would value as interesting conversation while they are away on long tours & feeling homesick?
Or engage the fans who are often drawn to heroes of similar foibles & failings
We all know that the media love to build up the popularity of new & inexperienced star-struck youth just so they can increase their sales ratings by then turning the public against them & tearing them down
It's become the modern equivalent of watching the trials & tribulations of ancient Rome's gladiators & Christians thrown to lions etc
