Matthew 28:19 King James Version (KJV)

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

We know that in the apostles times, Church was established and the positions of pastors, evangelists and teachers were instituted and I believe the designation of discipleship was very much there in the body of Christ of the early church.

But in today's church only pastors or evangelists can baptize. Only selected people in the evangelistic ministries can baptize people and preach.

Only the teaching staff instituted by the head of the church can teach the bible.

You need permission even to go share the gospel with other people. You can't conduct a prayer meeting in your house. Even for that you need permissions of the pastors.

So according to our new church rules and regulations Matthew 28:19 was only for the Christ's disciples. Can this be true?

You desperately need to find a new group of believers if you are being taught this Brother.

The church is the body of Christ, those led by the Spirit of Christ. Who can say what the politics are or why? How do we know that what you are referring to, is what Jesus was alluding to when he mentions synagogues of Satan?

thread title: Was Matthew 28:19 only for the disciples of Jesus Christ?

yes. today, as then, btw, with appropriate differences, if any, by Yhwh's Plan.

I've never been to a church teaching what you say. At one time we had a Bible study in my home and my pastor at the time no absolutely no issue with that at all and we didn't ask permission. We had a regular group of about 12 and several did not attend our church. One couple was RCC on Sunday and mid-week at our house.

Church rules of this kind remind me of Matt 15:9 -
8'THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME. 9'BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.'"

We should be vary wary of rules imposed by churches, unless they are rules that come directly from the Bible. Which the ones you speak of definitely do not!
