We do not love the Lord!

How many times do we find ourselves having little time to serve the Lord, whether it is through tithing, prayer or ushering? We often complain that the Lord demands too much of our time when we serve in church as musicians and look at our watches when the preacher preach a little too long for our liking. The time we spent on our television and books on secular subjects are way more than the time we spent with the Lord reading the bible or praying. Yet, we still think so highly of ourselves as Christians and think if ever we are persecuted for the Lord, we will not betray Him as we truly love the Lord! Do we truly love Him?

Why are we not spending more time with Him, then? Why are we not praying longer, tithing more, or serving in the church more? Why are we not taking an active stand against abortions and homosexuality, if we truly do not fear to be persecuted? Why are we not actively sharing the gospels with non-believers? Why are we hiding in our own little Christian corner instead of confronting the world for its wickedness? Why don't we speak out more against evil? Is it a wonder society is losing their sense of right and wrong, and having no fear of God?

It is time to repent and admit that we do not truly love the Lord! Then, we need to slowly take steps to love Him more. Start by spending more time with Him reading the bible or praying. Then, slowly, one step at a time, do the other things!

John 14:14
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

1 John 3:23
"And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment."

All the commandments are combined by John, to believe and love, therefore fulfilling all of the commandments given us. If these 2 are met, the rest will be performed in us by the Holy Spirit.

The commandments are better expressed by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthews Gospel.

I suppose if one wanted to live by Law that would be the route.

Under Grace we keep the Commandments by and through the Spirit.

Rom. 8:13
"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."

If you try to keep the Commandments by your own doing, you're not going to make it, but if you surrender to the Spirit and allow Him to do it, then you will make it.

Jesus was the end of the law, and now we live under grace gained for us by the sacrifice Jesus made for us on Calverarys Cross. Did you not know that?

Christ said He didn't come to condemn the world but to save it and there is no condemnation to them in Christ Jesus. OT they had a offering for guilt something else Christ died for.. praise God glory to Jesus. Yeap.. I love Him He loves me.

How does one become in Him?

He pretty much condemned the Pharisees in Matt 23

Matthew 12:30
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Thanks

Luke 14:26. If any man come to Me, and hate not his father, wife and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciples. 14:27. And who so ever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be my disciples. Because some people have spirit of slumber, or they don't want accountability. If you plant seeds, speaking out against traditions of men, false doctrine. They will hate you. Its written in epistle John, marvel not if the world hates you. Some people won't take 20 minutes out of their day to study the bible. Bottom line, psalm chapter 34, trust in God, and repent. The wicked want nothing to do with God. Those who reject Jesus salvation, are going with satan into lake of fire. Psalm chapter 34.
