My mother was 66 and father 82 when they died. I only remember my parents from when they were both close to 40. I never knew them as young people.
So when an old person dies, we tend to think of them only as old. We don't associate their identity with youth. We forget their youth, even we were lucky enough to know them when they were young.
A human being is much more than the age at which they die. We are all born in God's image. Our lives and deaths are more profound than we can ever imagine.
