Weight of glory - explains the trinity

All celestial beings have a degree of glory. All beings that have the same glory are of the same kind. The son had the same glory as the father before the creation of the world, and therefore even though Christ is the son and god is the father, they are both god, because they have the same degree of glory.

Jesus asked the father to restore to him the glory he had WITH him before the creation of the world, meaning that he had the same glory as the father and all beings with the same glory are of the same kind. So Jesus had the glory of the father and therefore they are both GOD. And that goes for the HS as well. But because Jesus was not in his heavenly form, but in a human body, he lost part of that glory because if he didn’t, he could not be created a man. All man have the same degree of glory, lower in my opinion to that of angels, hence we are said to be created lower than them. Its all about the weight of glory.

In heaven, hierarchy is determined by weight of glory, not by titles like son or father. A son and a father could have the same glory and therefore both be god.

Now just before we think that because we are going to be called, or are called sons of god, that we will have the same glory as Jesus in heaven, because we will not. We will be called sons, but being called a son does not give you your weight of glory what gives you your weight of glory is your kind. Not your title. So Jesus has the title of son of god, but that does not make him lesser in glory to his father, because his glory is not because of his title, but because of his kind.

Paul explains that our bodies are sown in dishonor but raised in glory. And he goes on to explain further that not things have the same glory.

Did Jesus pray to himself? No I don’t think he did! Prayer is communication. Jesus did not communicate with himself. He communicated with his father. He communicated with the father because the father had the greater weight of glory while Jesus was in human form. It is idolatry to worship anything that has lesser glory than God. And so while Jesus was on the earth he did not tell anybody to worship him, lest folk think that worshipping something in human form would be acceptable! But Jesus when he returned to the father received back his full weight of glory and is therefore to be worshipped.

Heneni,
What is your take on 1 Corinthians 15:27-28;"The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For he "has put everything under his feet."[c] Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all."

Most excellent question bubba! You had my like this :crazy for a second there!

Anyway...I have partly recovered. HEHE...

So i will try my best to give my understanding of it all.

God is all sufficient. Jesus and the father and the HS, were self-sufficient before the universe was created. When the universe was created, all of the creation was put under subjection to christ, so that he may sustain and uphold it. He is always the giver, everything and everybody else is on the receiving end. All life comes from god, all perfect gifts come from god, all power and all authority was distributed from God. God gave authority and power to his son. Who in turns destroys all other power and authority. He must reign, UNTILL he has put all his enemies under his feet. When all enemies are under his feet there is no need to reign any longer over the kingdom any longer. But hands this kingdom back to the father.

Christ is the one that is reigning over the universe, the father is not. But the father subjected everything under the son, so the father gave that authority away to the son. Jesus had to loose part of his glory in order to receive from the father. He had to subject himself under the father in order to be on the receiving end! But the son only rules until he can render inoperative and abolish every rule and authority and power!

Now keeping that in mind. When jesus hands over the kingdom to the father, the father is then on the receiving end of something! So, when jesus hands over the kingdom he is exalted above god the father, in order to make the father the benefactor! He then subjects himself in turn to god the father so that he may receive equally that which he gave to the father so that they both, may fill everything with life.

Jesus has never been, is not now, nor ever will be exalted above the Father.

How do you imagine the father recieves anything from the son unless
the father is the benefactor? And who is the one with the higher position, the giver or the getter?

Who is above god, nobody, for precisely the reason that god does not require, or reach out his hand to receive anything from anybody that he does not already have.

But the father does not have the kingdom the son does, and if the son wants to hand the kingdom to the father, the father has to be in the receiving position.

The Father has ALL that the son has because He has authority OVER the son. There is nothing that the Father has NOT put UNDER the son EXCEPT himself. Jesus, being one, and in communion with the Father, ONLY does what the Father has given Him to do.

So you consider the son to be subject to the father. Does that include from before the creation of the world and after the resurrection of christ? Do you see the relationship between the father and the son from the beginning to be the one subject to the other, in other words, jesus was ruled by the father from the beginning.

Yes – absolutely, I do. From before creation of the world until now, Jesus (the Word of God) has always been subject to the Father.

Hmmmm.....give me an example where the son was subject to the father from before creation. In other words, where god ruled his son.
