What A Beautiful Day!

Hello fellow CFer's! I frequent this site almost every day on my "smart" phone but I do not like typing on the tiny keyboard so I don't really say anything on here. Today that is going to change! I got my laptop out! The sun is out over where I am in Michigan, no clouds in the sky. Another day to put in a bottle before winter comes.

God is good is He not? He certainly reminds me every day how He is watching and caring. When I look to Him, he guides me through even the tough little decisions in life and shows me He is there.

Psalm 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

What has God done in your life this week?

So continuing my intensive study in the Book of Psalms, I began today with Psalm 45.
After three hours this morning, still meditating on verse 1: Christ and His elect Bride;
A Song of loves: a marriage song! My heart bubbleth up as a fountain!

Rev. 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.
And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come.
And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

This speaks of all the sanctified elect of God, the Lamb's Wife
who await and earnestly desire their Groom's coming!
(Rev. 22:20; Titus 2:13)

Hi Ms Messenger! I love the Psalms; and my wife and I have been through the Psalms together a number of times. There is such a range of human experience, thought, emotion and truth there.

Blessings.

Hello and welcome!
Yesterday was a nice day for the most part. Not sure which part you're from, but my wife and I went to old downtown Holly Michigan and had a fantastic brunch at the old Holly Inn, and then went window shopping in the antique and curiosity stores. It was an absolutely beautiful day when the sun found it's way through the clouds.

Be blessed!

Welcome to this place!

You are right keeping an open mind to seeing the beauty of this world and God's loving presence.

Unfortunately I have been caught up in fighting the darkness within for so long I often forget what a great gift life is. It's easy to forget that when you're suffering. :sad

I found a reason for praise on saturday, when I visited a friend of mine who's been living in psychiatric wards for like two years now, because he's suffering from a pervasive heavy depression that had been resistant to all kinds of treatment. The doctors could keep him from suicide, but not much more. Now he's received some new kind of neurosurgical treatment a few weeks ago and it seems he's getting better. So on saturday we were sitting outside in the rather warm autumn wind and he wondered about what a life outside of psychiatric hospitals would be like and how things might go on for him. That's awesome, because for all the time I've known him he never even thought a recovery and a life "outside" possible. Seems he found some hope again.
