What A Lie

The article says that we have an immortality gene that is switched off when we are born. Interesting

People will do anything to avoid having to stand before Christ and give an account of themselves. It won't work: if you don't die of old age, you'll die of something else. (Hebrews 9:27)

And even if it were possible, how would over-population be handled? Would there be forced euthanasia for the lower class?

And why would someone want to live longer in this world the way it is?

An amazing demonstration of the god/man complex. otherwise known as extreme, intentional, stupidity by some, such as a local nut known as Bill Taylor.

This is the goal of transhumanism. Fleshy immortality.

And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. Revelation 9:6

From the link in the OP:

"Every cell in your body has an 'immortality gene'," Robinson says. "When it's switched on, your cells don't age. In fact, they become biologically younger."

Wonder if that's a fact? We we're after all first designed to live forever.

Robinson continued, "So that's the good news. Here's the bad news. When we're born, we come with this gene 'switched off.'"

Did God just see to it that gene was switched off after the death sentence was invoked?

Adam never ate from the tree of life. Maybe it was never switched on in the first place.

And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." Genesis 3:22 NIV
