WHAT ABOUT HERMAPHRODITES?

reassignment surgery, but there are thousands of people who are born every year with either opposite or ambiguous genitals. What does God say about them?

If a man (XY chromosomes) is born and develops a female body, is it technically homosexuality if she sleeps with a man (XY chromosomes) who has a male body? Genitalia is the deciding factor, isn't it?

Many young women have this condition, and they find out later in life that they don't have ovaries, but abdominal testes.

This is called pseudohermaphroditism, but there are true hermaphrodites (very rare) who have both male and female genitalia, and some (even more rare) who have both that function.

Where does the Bible stand on this? What makes a man and what makes a woman? Does god create gay people the way he creates intersexed people?

Quote from the site....

Second, it appears that most, if not all, hermaphrodites have a definite side they take as they develop since there is an internal genetic (XX, XY) dominance even though there is an external ambiguity.

1. "Most" doesn't seem good enough for universial rules of morality. It must apply to all.

2. They are not always born XX or XY. They can be born XXX, XYX, or even just X, so it is not true to say that there is "an internal genetic dominance".

Although I do agree with the point of the article, that the person will realize their sexuality as they mature, and should make a decision as to how they choose to live their life. Odd this same alllowance is not made to those that feel similar about their sexual orientation towards others.

From the article...

Now, specialists can perform an ultrasound, blood test, chromosome analysis, and even do exploratory surgery to find out the baby's true sex.

This assumes that there is a "true sex". With XXX, XYX or just X chromosomes and hermaphroditic physical features there is no "true sex" in these cases. Plus, I can't fathom how an ultrasound can possibly determine "true sex".

Although this article again states that the person suffering from this malady should grow into a decision about how that person wishes to live our their life, it seems of offer a "feel-good" explanation without delving into the specifics that make sexual orientiation seem less than black and white.

For example, this article offers zero guidence on how Christians should address a hermaphrodite who has most the outward features of a male, lives as a male, has his ovaries removed, but is attracted to men. Is that fine?

Or would Christians suggest he take hormones and have surgery to at least appear like a woman, then it would be fine if he was attracted to men?
