What are your favorite Radio Ministries?

Grace Baptist Church Brunswick, Ohio

Dr. Richard Powers
IS one of the most profound ministers in my area.

This Sunday's sermon was so very intense! and it will hit you where it counts! He talks about sins ranging from homosexuality to sins like adultery, to sins like some thing other may consider minor, to sins like gossip. In this particular sermon, he even convicted me for being at home sipping my coffee listening to a a sermon instead of attending a church service. (not neccessarily having to be at his chruch.)

I highly recommend you listen to this sermon! As well as others from the list below. All of Dr. Powers sermons hit you where it counts! He is not what you would call a mamby pamby minister. I appreciate his blatant in your face approach to conviction of sins and what we must do to get right with the Spirit of the Lord!

Not one of his sermons are boring! Every one is worth listening to!
I subtitle this weeks sermon as; "You can call the tune, but you have to pay the fiddler."

I listen to Alistair sometimes too.

cool :D His church is about 40 minutes away from my home. He's out in the burbs with all the suburban folks. :-? But anyway, I won't hold that against him. 8-) After all, God does want us to prosper, aye? And he's done a really good job of it! His itinerary is full with requests of his preaching at other churches all across america. He's done well for himself. Himself? hmmmmm..... God blesses in many ways, aye again? 8-)

Nevertheless, He does have outreach ministries.
Oneof them is wuth the local City Mission.
A good thing. :)

I do not watch television, ergo, my contacts with a lot of ministries are nil.

I enjoy Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Stan Monteith, John McArthur, Charles Stanley, Tony Evans.

I will listen to various programs on OnePlace.com every now and then but the one program I always check on is Focus on the Family. It has such a variety of topics, excellent guests, and good testimonies. My all time favorite show is "I Will Leave Thee" by Darlene Rose. I have bought that tape numerous times because everytime I share it with someone, I never get it back!!!!! (that is true)
I also like Unshackled but I do not listen to it regularly like Focus on the Family.
Sorry I do not have a top 4. There are a lot of good programs to listen to though.

Even though I am not a mom, I really enjoy the encouragement of the MOMSense Radio Broadcast with Elisa Morgan. You can hear the daily 2-minute broadcast at http://www.MOPS.org, under "Radio."

Here's another show I listen to a whole lot. :D

Janet Parshall is one Smart, Quit Witted Cookie!
And she covers the latest news and is very outspoken
with her opinions. I just love this show.

Calvary Chapel Forte Lauderdale
Pastor Bob Coy.

His sermons are awesome! And he uses humor to get the message across!

You may have to register to listen but it is so worth it! Then you can choose from precious audio or visual broadcasts.

Right now he is doing a series on Emotions You Can't Trust.
Today I heard this one from a series of six.

All I could say when he was finished was WOW! He hit it right on!
Emotions:You Can't Trust

We are three part people: body, spirit and soul. Examine the scriptures to understand the emotional impact in our lives when the soul is not properly surrendered, and learn what we can do to keep the soul in check. This series deals with Anger, Fear, Guilt, Lust & our Heart

I watch his sermon every week and I listen to audios from his web site a lot! Some of them I just have to add to my library of sermons. I love to share the most profound!

Here's another very profound sermon presented by Pastor Bob:

We are at War
Mind vs. Body

If you want to watch it you have to go to the web site and sign on.

Enjoy! :)

I agree with DkC. I don't often listen to radio ministries, but those are among the best. I also like the Southwest Radio Church, Dr. Kennedy, and(not a ministry) Alex Jones, cuz he sure keeps us informed.

Focus on the Family, Money Matters, Chuck Swindoll, David Jeremiah, Precept from God's Word, a bunch of others that aren't carried on my local station (where I am an air minister) that I'll listen to when I travel.

The best one ever... Linked to in my sig. Oh, you can listen online 24/7 live. Pretty awesome.

I like Alastair Begg; D. James Kennedy; John McArthur; J. Vernon McGee.

Unfortunately, Family Radio seems like they are taking over Christian radio stations left and right, leaving few stations left that are somewhat independent. The others are going to almost all music, leaving out teaching ministries; and unfortunately, the music they are spinning seems to be mostly contemporary Christian---you should excuse the expression, music.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on Family Radio myself and I miss (99.1FM in NJ) Zaraphath's old format... Scott Taylor in the morning, playing what I considered quality CCM; followed by some very good talk shows... Stanley, Kroll, Dobson, Begg, to name a few.

I'm not 'down' on ALL the CCM they now play, but it has superceded (and watered down) the Message and disrupted my listening schedule... BIG TIME. I was able to tell time by which show was on. Plus, it was a great way for me to get into the Word while in transit to and from work.

The station in Zarephath...is that the one run by the Pillar of Fire?

Personally, I am about 98% in to traditional hymns.

Yeppers, that be them, or that used to be them. I'm not sure if they are still UMC. :-?

I don't think they were ever UMC. That's the Pillar of Fire Church.

I stand corrected. I've been in the church at Zarephath. I'm sure it was Methodist; maybe not UMC though.
