*see Vic's fourth peeve* :toofunnydestiny said:Getting stuck behind a slow driver on a two lane highway drives me insane!!! I can understand road-rage although I try to stay calm. :shocked!
... and to think I liked you because you were the smartest squirrel of the bunch.People who highly esteem others based on their intellectual abilities and education. I have had to recently separate from those types. It is so sickening.
Man, I like that one too! Rick, add this to the list of smileys, please.Blazin Bones said:This is Vic's situation...

Words that would've gotten my face or other body part smacked had I used them when I was growing up. It especially bugs me when I hear parents using terrible language around, or worse, to their small children. Like the time I overheard a mother yelling to her toddler, "You get your (bleeping 'rear end') in here right now!" :o
You know that child is going to grow up thinking that kind of language is perfectly normal. Like the babysitter I had when I was young, who always used a certain word when she got mad. Well, one little boy copied what she'd said, and guess what she did? Yep, smacked his behind and confined him in a crib. Not a teenager, either- this woman was old enough to know better.
What really bothers me even more than the worst of the 'bad words' you hear every day though is using the Lord's name in vain. I cringe whenever I hear that! I think every Christian should. So many people, even some Christians, use God's name so flippantly.
Oh yes, I have other pet peeves, but this was one of the biggies.
