Growth What does God want from us?

Kidron

So, you are curious to know what God wants from you?

What do you think it is?
your good deeds?
you tithe?
your "tongues"?
your obedience?
your prayers?
your problems?
your church membership?
your children?

well, i can tell you that all of that is not the main thing, tho some of those are good lifestyles.

So what is the main thing God wants from you?

Here is what he wants from you, Oh ye Believer...

God wants you to LOVE HIM BACK.
He wants you to LOVE HIM BACK.
THATS, what he wants from you.
He wants you to get up and spend your day and night loving him back.
And if you do that simple thing, all the time, then your entire life will transform into his will for you and your life.
You dont even have to ask him what it is, as it will just "become" you.

Love him back.
love him back.
love
him
back.

Our FAITH.

God's Love is unconditional. God does not love us to get love back.
To love God unconditionally IS an act of faith. Without that faith, our fear stops us from the total surrender and acceptance of unconditional love.
Loving God is, the way of faith, to commune with God.

Satan has authority over the world. We live in this world, and we are constantly bombarded by deception. All our bodily senses perceive this deception.
God's reality is Truth. To perceive God's reality, all our bodily senses have to be by-passed. A spiritual senses have to be initiated by faith.
Faith is the only bridge between this deceptive world and God's reality of Truth.
God is waiting to welcome the faithful to cross that bridge to Him.
It is the faithful who act unconditionally (non-deceptively).

Our FAITH.
(non-deceptively).

God is certainly looking for faith and obedience.
Absolutely.
However, if we love him as we should, then faithfulness and obedience will be the natural fruit of a right relationship.
And a right relationship would be a love relationship which is built on the security found in an unconditional love.

Hmmm...
Love first or have faith first in order to love.
Is faith love?
God gives us faith but he also gives us his love?
Let's see.
To do the work of God is to believe in the one he has sent.
We believe through our faith.
Can we love without faith?
He gives us faith in order that we can love.

I don't know.
Who can help me here?

Hello Rollo.
Truth, unconditional Love, and Faith are intertwined.
Truth, Love (the life), and Faith (the way) are pure, reliable, and sets us free from the bondage of self.

Is faith love? It takes faith to love unconditionally. Total exposure and vulnerability has no hold on unconditional love. Such love requires absolute faith in your truth of why we love unconditionally. None of which has anything to do with the worldly concepts of love.

Can we love without faith? Not unconditionally.

I don't know.

Two Scriptures to help you:
1. We love Him because He first loved us (1 Jn 4:19).
2. The Holy Spirit gives us the gift of love [charity, agape] (1 Cor 13:13).

As to the OP God wants from us whatever He asks from us in Scripture, and it could be a very long list.

I Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

The faith is that God is a Loving God. To know God is to Love God. He sends his Christ, the True Image of God to show His Love that we may know Him. This Love submits to a cross of torture and forgives those who crucify him knowing they know not what they do because they do not know Him. This is in complete opposition to the false image of god sown by Satan that now rules in this world in the psyche of men who do not know Him in Truth. For these who do not know God are made manifest in that they return evil for evil.
