Why do we look to man’s hands and his limited and unbelieving knowledge to:
Heal our lands and bring peace?
Or to tell us what the weather will be, as if we sit helpless?
Or to do something to get more or less water to our crops, such as in drought or flooding?
Or to just help shovel the snows and bare with the cold weather from freezing our crops, fruit trees?
Or any other thing that we need for a prosperous and peaceful life?
Where is OUR faith in God?
Is it not our God who controls the weather? Is it not God who has told us how to bring peace to the world through His Son?
Is it not God who manages the storehouse of the hail, rain, snow that He can dump on us in time of punishment , IN His mercy, to get us to look up and repent from our forgetting Him, to maybe save some?
Isn’t He the One who brings showers for our plant life to grow, and for us to drink, for the animals to drink and wash, flowers, trees, rivers, lakes, oceans?
How simple and without cost is it to seek God instead of ungodly men who only want money and can not fix anything when it comes to these things
Isn’t if our Creator who makes the deserts into oasis’ and oasis’ nto deserts at the Breath of His Word?
Why do we continue to look to man‘s hand, who is limited in their ability to change anything when it comes to true help in our life, and let us turn to the Living God who all things are possible and who controls these things?
Where is our faith? Faith without works is dead faith. If we keep seeking man to help us, we shall never see the great Mercy of God for all the things that are now coming on the earth,. Because few are looking up recognizing our God and asking Him for relief from them.
They still continue on, trying to come up with schemes to get around Him and His mighty works when all they need to do is repent, ask Him to give or take away, to trust in God who is able, not man who is helpless.
When in droubt Pray! When in times of flooding Pray! In times of mounds of snow, pray!
When disaster and plagues come, repent and Pray! For this is how our Creator lets us know we are walking contrary to Him. He does not come down and sit at a booth for us to come and give our complaints or hand out judgments. He is Spirit and His works come in the form of things in the earth and the heavens for His signals and signs to us He uses His stars and sun and moon, and He sent us His Word in the Son, to show us example and also giving us a more sure Word from Him.
We must not forget that God is not a man like us, but He works through His whole creation. The Bible is full of showing us His mighty works, the plaques, the earthquakes, flood, withholding the rain, insects, animals etc… Even His man to bring wrath or blessing. But never do we go to ungodly man for our needs or help for ungodly man has strings attached for repayment in ungodly ways sometimes., We go to God and He will send the man to you in some way. Surely we should see and understand whom we must look to in time of need and who is in Control of His earth and all Creation? Satan may control willing hearted men, but the Earth is the LORD’S and the fullness there of…What He says and does, goes in His household! To fear the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
Job 38:22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
