Awhile ago I was speaking with some Christian's. We had a conversation about the Rainbow. I told them there are two types of Rainbows.

1. Rainbow - Represents God's promises.
2. Rainbow - LGBT

They were surprised when I told them. Their reply was I never thought about it that way. I know if I wear anything that represents a rainbow, many will automatically assume I belong to LGBT. On the flip side, it would also be a good witnessing tool! We learn something new everyday. I enrolled years ago in the University of Jesus!

LOVE cover a multitude of sins - 1 Peter 4:8

Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
God's bow from beginning to end :)

God puts rainbows in the skies for me all the time. Most days when I look towards the sun, there will either be a sliver of a rainbow, a rainbow halo around the sun.....or a cloud will have a rainbow outline. This is very special to me.

dirtfarmer here

The rainbow is a reminder of God's promise to never destroy the earth with a flood. The next time the earth is destroyed it will by fire: 2 Peter 3:7 " But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."

God hung up his rainbow because he was never going to use it again.

But the hail bow
The fire bow
The earthquake bow
The burning sulfur bow
And many many more aren't hung up. They can be used at any time.

To me, rainbows are just a small, but meaningful, blessing we all get, believer and non-believer alike. The rain falls and the sun shines of good and wicked alike.

The LGBTQ(xyz) community took the rainbow so people would see their sins as harmless, cute, etc. Truth is...speaking as a former homogay, there's nothing particular "gay" about the homosexual community. They shouldn't have the rainbow, because rainbows=a touch of happiness, even joy, and the LGBTQ world=anything but, usually.

I will say, though, that using the rainbow has proven successful, from a PR perspective.

Yeah, rainbows are there sometimes to remind man that He will never again flood the earth with water as He did before.

Now they've been hijacked by the lgbt crowd and said to mean something else. Plagerizers!!

I notice that Satan has plagerized God quite a few times actually! Just a small fish in a big pond...

As a former homogay, I just don't like it because it makes the sodomite lifestyle and community seem all happy and fun and cute. There's nothing cute about a situation in which 1 in 5 dudes who do it with dudes have HIV, not to mention everything else that's floating around.

The rainbow is the sign of the covenant and our assurance in the heavens that God will forgo his Judgment and never again destroy the earth by water (Genesis 9:8-17 NASB). And so Christ, also, is the covenant and our assurance in heaven that we will not be destroyed by his Judgment:

"and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. 3And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne" (Revelation 4:2-3 NASB italics in original)

On earth we only see half of the rainbow. But at His appearing in the clouds and in heaven itself we will see the fullness of the rainbow, Christ Jesus, God's Covenant with mankind, the sign of his stay of Judgment for those who receive Him.

Yeah, if the rainbow was commonly believed to represent Christianity, I'm afraid that Austin wouldn't have so many. I love colorful stuff, but you have to be careful around here as not to support the wrong causes! Mainly just downtown though.

In the lawsuit, she says she has “sincerely held religious beliefs in which she believes it is a sin for persons of same sex to engage in sexual relations. ”
