43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.' 44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

What this means is that one should go against one's human nature and be the person that God intended us to be. It is human nature to hate those who mistreats us and to want to get even and even feel good when something bad happens to those who has done us wrong.

Just think of all the times you have angred God and hurt Him within the past week. Thankfully God doesn't seek revenge and doesn't hate us for hurting or disappointing Him. He loves us and He expects us to love our enemies too, because they are His children too. His Son didn't pay the price for some. He died for us all and if His blood is good enough for our enemies then our love shouldn't be exclusively for the people we like or deem worthy of our love. We should love everyone -enemies included.

Again, easier said than done.

That's the hardest thing sometimes swallowing pride & imitating god and passing on the good stuff we recieived especially if your tired or annoyed.

I know, Chris. It like the saying; Jesus is great –it’s His followers I have a problem with. :)

One poster on this forum had me in tears for hours, but rest assured, most people here are lovely.

note; this thread wasn't put here for anyone in particular just trying to spread the happiness :)

Can it hurt to have respect and acceptance of people however they are and their views.
I once had this verse explained to me in this way 'Love the people but hate the sin and don't be attracted to it" no matter what, what we type hear anyone can read.
If love and acceptance ( people not sin) is seen people want to be a part of that- You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

love you all and hope you have an awesome day

Galatians 5:13-14
13) For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occassion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14) For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
