What dost thou do for a living? ; -)

I have two jobs right now. I am an artist (and would eventually like to do ONLY that). I am also a geophysicist (helps pay the bills for now). A geologist and I do various surveys but our largest contract is finding buried bombs (artillery and that sort of stuff) at old bombing ranges that are now being developed. Can't have people digging up bombs when they're putting in their basement!!

My preference is web design and back-end programming. I'm able to do that here and there, but not full time or even enough part-time.

Just recently I find myself between day jobs- had a sales gig - long hours - short return. Abruptly terminated. The good news is, I have my life back. The bad news is, I'm looking again for a day job.

Prayers welcome!

ChristianSoldier...let me be of some comfort here. My husband just went through that job thing. He worked L O N G days with minimal return. Was playing havoc with our marriage.
He was off almost a month before he landed a great job (through a temp agency!) He stood faithful in the time of distress and God blessed that. 3 months after his hire he has already been promoted with a decent raise.

You WILL be in my prayers until I hear of your praise report!
Know that you are blessed & loved.

Sara

I am a design draftsman (so says my title) but I do far more drafting than design work. Currently I am working for one of the largest (if not the largest) oil drilling companies in the world. At my location we design automated pipe handling equipment, right from concept to production. It's all 3D modelling with SolidWorks which is pretty cool (beats Auto"BAD" anyday).

Free, We do solid works as well.. We don't use auto ''bad'' either...
We also use Bobcad and Mastercam as well as Pro E...

Do you personally use it? If you wanted to get into something else, that is a good way to go. It has really opened up a lot of doors for me. I've been learning as I go and I've only been using it for 3 years but work on some pretty cool stuff. And my education is in electronics, not mechanical design.

While in college, I worked as a florist, and part time in a chemical lab as an assistant. I worked as a Biomedical Engineering Technician in the Quality Control department at a Medical company based in St. Louis prior to having my first child...the same company where I assisted in the lab.

Now, I am wife and mother in full time ministry. Our family has a farm, and we sell our products to a local co-op. I am also a student again...still. The Lord bless all of you.

LOL, I was fixing it as you posted. I got up to get a drink before I hit submit, but you beat me to it. 8-)

Giannini is one of the many unsund "heros" in American History. He almost single-handly revolutionized banking.
