Do girls want a guy who is ruff 'n' tuff, big 'n' buff? I have been turned down by girls before because I am not a macho muscle man. :sad

Yes Dave, all girls on every continent want a guy who is ruff 'n' tuff, big 'n' buff...There is no room on this planet for anything other than that. :crazy

Not necessarily. People are permitted to find certain things attractive. I like a woman with long hair. I am not shallow if long hair makes me more intereseted in a woman. It's called a preference.

If a girl likes her man to be strong and with a confident personality, what's wrong with that? It's only after they start making this kind of man more important than finding God's kind of man for her that this is an issue.

Each person is different Dave. When I think of mullets, I think of white trash-but what do I know. That's just a label society embedded in my mind. I wouldn't write off a nice guy with good manners just bc he had a mullet. Because some things come first. I'm just a Christian trying to live my life the best way God intended for me. Which includes trying not to judge people and realizing that there are more important things in life than what someone looks like.
I am attracted to blonde men. But I wouldn't date a guy just because he was blonde since I could end up with an abusive, unbelieving, disrespectful, cheating, lying, loser because I overlooked these important attributes for the sake of things of the flesh (looks).

Maybe it's easier for women to overlook physical attraction for more important things (affection, financial stability, family commitment).
I read a book called His Needs, Her Needs that explained just this: Each person has a "list" that pertains to what they look for in a partner. Many women put financial support or family commitment first, while men put attractiveness of spouse and sexual fulfillment first. Go figure :lol

So, anyways, I forgot what I was saying :oops
People should have the right to be attracted to whatever they feel. It's just important-if we're living to please God-to put things of the flesh behind us. Those things don't last-so why build a connection to them? Because when that bulky chest goes away, at the end of the day, I'd rather an intelligent, conversationalist. I am more sweet on geeks than jocks.

ugh no..not every girl wants that..

when a guy is all big and buff you know that means more time at the gym and less time with me

:)

Honestly, I just love a sense of humor and someone I can be best friends and not always romantic with, ya know? And someone who gives me space, but still shows he really likes me. Idk, it's complicated. LOL

Really, I think women like a good looking man just as much as men like a beautiful woman. That's part of attraction. I think they also like a man that is not so meek that he can't stand up for himself when the situation arises. I would think a genuine smile... they may have to look at you for the rest of their lives. :D and for a woman I would guess what is as attractive as anything... is responsiblity. A potential husband that can support a family. Now, I'm sure some of these ideas are not appropriate for every woman. I'm just giving a generality. It's probably the same as the rest of life. Some of us humans, go overboard in one direction. If she is athletic... that might be the only type she wants. If she is meek... she may not want a brawler type. It's matchmaking like they say. Besides... who knows the mind of a female. If they are confused about it... I'm sure I certainly am. :rolling

No, if a guy is too big and buff and falls on her he might squash her.

Big muscles can be overated. (Like too big.)

Some girls like big, muscly guys, but to be honest, I think they're in the minority. The same as all guys supposedly liking girls with huge chests.

I think most people just like others in proportion.

Money.

As sad as it is most women, place money and material items first and I dont mean necessities but rather luxuries.

I will inevitably draw criticism for saying this but it is true.

People will say they want financial stability but that is a socially acceptable term to use. Financial stability means security in their job and the ability to pay their bills. But this is not what women mean when they say financial stability.

A house in the country, brand new cars and expensive jewelry have nothing to do with financial stability one bit. Yet many women expect men to provide luxury items for them.

Men I have to say are no better in their own respect. Men expect supermodels or women with unusually high levels of appearances even if they themselves do not groom themselves appropriately. Men will usually be drawn to appearance first if not solely. Men are usually continually lustful toward women.

Men chase after appearances and women chase after money generally speaking. Such is life.

The bible spoke heavily against both issues.

The problem is that christians, often do not act like christians unfortunately.

There are a few great fellow christians I have met but they are like a drop of water in the desert.

Generalizing, woman want men with money and a sound reproductive system. I've been on this planet for 36 years and I only met four women that had no interest in having children of their own. I think if you are a children's person and your partner is unable to conceive it will be very hard to maintain the relationship let alone a marriage.

Personally, I have dated too many men to not know exactly what I want and more important - what I don't want.

1. A man must have all his teeth. Ya ain't got all them pearly whites, ya aint getting no smooches from me, boy.
2. Personal hygiene. Need I say more?
3. If you chew your nails, you can't touch me. Not debatable.
4. If you have any form of addiction, I'm not interested. I don't care if you are an alcoholic, have a gambling problem or if you are addicted to pain killers. I know this sounds incredibly selfish, but I have gone that route before and it was hell. I will not play the roll of the self sacrificing wife ever again. The impact of an addiction goes beyond the addict, and this time around I have a child that will suffer the consequences as well. BIG no no.
5. I'm attracted to intelligent men. If you are a walking encyclopedia, I'm all yours.
6. Maturity. *Sigh* No silent treatment or temper tamtrums allowed. Act like a grown up.
7. If you don't mind that I don't wear make up over weekends I will propose to you.
