It's a good example of the way God created the world so that organisms could adapt and change over time to fit their environments.

The appendix is vestigial, not "a useless evolutionary leftover." Creationists often confuse the two things, but they've never been the same.

Obviously, God, being eternal and omnipotent never has to figure out anything, much less "design." The appendix, in humans, has lost its original function,but serves several other useful functions. Darwin mentioned that phenomenon in his book.
