God’s Judgment
The courtroom instantly settles to order as the prosecuting attorney enters. Radiating brut authority as he moves across the room to the prosecution table, he settles himself with great aplomb.
The Defense Attorney quietly enters. Whispers take on a softer more reverent tone as He takes His seat opposite that of the prosecutor‘s table.
Then the justice halls fall dead silent as the Defendant enters the room. All eyes watch as He moves to His place and is seated. No one stirs, no sounds to be heard. Even the hum of the universe falls silent.
The Defense Attorney stands to address the jury. “In this courtroom the weightiness of evidence cannot be considered sufficient. In this courtroom definitive answers to each accusation must be concluded and aligned with the absolute and infinite truth. What is at stake here cannot be decided by a preponderance of the evidence. All truth shall be fully known and understood by all.â€Â
The prosecutor remains seated, strumming his fingers on the table. Slowly he rises to his feet and begins pacing back and forth in front of the jury. “I offer each one of you, every member of the jury, as sufficient evidence to indict, convict, and execute the Accused. Who among you have not at some point known the sting of death? Have not each of you enjoyed the physical pleasure of indulgence? If any among you can declare your own innocence then rise to the occasion and let your voice be heard. Otherwise put the shame of guilt on the Accused as surely as your own sense of self-degradation. If you are without guilt please come forward and make your judgment known, worthy or unworthy.â€Â
The jury foreman boldly steps forward, “Who among us is first in line, for there are many that wish to testify?â€Â
The prosecutor turns toward the Defense Attorney, “Is there precedence to reference in this matter?â€Â, the prosecutor asks.
“Let he who is first be last and he who is last be firstâ€Â, the Defense replied.
“So be itâ€Â, the prosecutor boomed, “let the last of those that are innocent come forth and declare yourself, is the Defendant WORTHY, or UNWORTHY.
Time passes, the prosecutor is visibly agitated at the delay as those that are first move back so that those who are last might come forward. All was quiet except for the rustling of movement. “I protest to these proceedings, lengthy as they are. Must I subject my valued time to this wasted searching for ’innocents’?â€Â, the prosecutor grumbled.
More time passed then a timid yet determined voice echoed clearly throughout the halls, “I present myself as the least of the innocent. My plea is not in my freedom from guilt, for I am guilty beyond measure. Indeed it is my guilt that gives the greater proclamations of defense. I am the darkness of which light can penetrate into the deepest recesses. I am the balance that proves the weightiness of right and righteousness. For as heavy as my crimes may be the opposing balance never failed to equal, my wrong has declared ’right’ and ‘Righteousness.â€Â
“I object“ the prosecutor yelled out, “You cannot offer yourself and your sins in evidence, you are flawed and contaminated. You have sank beyond even my expectations. You are the excrement of life, the waste, that which even the swine will not feed upon. You cannot present your perverse and degraded nature before this court as evidence of what is good and right and logical. You must not attempt to marry your evil with goodness. Yours is not the yin to the yang of righteousness. Back down you who are vile and corrupt. Your voice is not worth hearing.†, the prosecutor sat back down beaming a sense of having presented justified reason and logic.
The Defense Attorney stands, positions Himself so that all can see and all can hear, not a word, not a gesture, not an expression is to be missed. “Of all that which has been revealed†He begins, “the greater, indeed that of the greatest value is the revelation of the true nature and character, the very heart of the Defendant. What more convincing truth could come to bear on the question of ‘love’ than for the Defendant’s life to be wholly equated to that of His subjects? No greater love has any one than to give over all that they have and are. There is no greater love.“
He continues, “Let those that have traveled the depths of hell be allowed to come forth and define what life was for them, each of them. Do not withhold the witness of horror. Is it not the testament of disease that leads the way to healing? If the blind man did not have need of restored sight, healing would have no worth. It is one that causes the other to be revealed for its greatness and the other of its deprivation. The deeper the depth of degradation works only to make known the greater value of redemption. I implore thee again, agree that those who have testimony be allowed to present their evidence. Let the last come first and first come last so that truth may permeate the universe, radiating to the farthest reaches so that none ever be deceived again.â€Â
The prosecuting attorney replies in resignation, “That I stood against You is perilous, that I stand against the universe is folly. Proceed.â€Â
The foreman calls for the next witness:
“I too am the least among men and angelsâ€Â, the witness begins. “My life was spent reaching for that which I could never have. Aimlessly I wandered through the days always thirsty, always hungry, never satisfied. I heard of the living water that quenches all thirst for all time. If I could but taste this water, I believe it would heal the unhealthy desires that masterfully enslaved me in my wonton existence.â€Â
Witness after witness came forward, each proclaiming the right and Righteousness of the Accused as they had each come to realize their experiences in a world gone awry.
Finally the jury foreman stood and asked of the court, “Might the proceedings, for the sake of brevity, at this time now call forth all those that stand in accusation, that are to bear witness against the Accused. Let the evidence come forth, let every man that has a grievance against the Defendant come forward and present the logic and reason of his objections. Come and wail out your tortures of spirit and body, place the grievous act of cruel indifference before us so that the truth may a last come to light.â€Â
“If mystery and deception be a veil that blinds, let every man, woman, and child that will, come forth and lay truth before us, before the whole of the universe so that above all else ’TRUTH†may belie the conduit of ignorance. May deception be cursed and truth region supreme until darkness ceases to fall upon the least of all intelligence. Come forth now lest TRUTH be established as more deceptions, for surely our only hopes are found in TRUTH.
Moments passed in visible silence. The ensuing eternity gave way to a quiet yet sure and strong voice echoing from deep within the measureless throng. Like streaks of lighting the chorus flashes through the vast peoples Within seconds the ground vibrates with the united Praise for He that loves without end, without conditions.
The chorus raises to a level of such exuberance that even the power of the Creator to quiet would be to no avail. Praises thundered on, even the animals cried out in their perspective voices.
“May He that is worthy reign for ever and everâ€Â, the chorus continued, “and now may all who find the Accused right and Righteous bow before His Majesty in quiet reverenceâ€Â.
Instantly all falls quiet as every creature bows, thus proclaiming that the ‘right to rule’ belongs to the Accused by election. No figure could be seen still standing in the whole vastness of all creation.
As though on cue, the throngs rise and stand in perfect quiet.
“Where are those that have come to bear witness?, asks the foreman. “How long must this mockery of justice continue?â€Â
Turning to the prosecuting attorney the foreman inquires, “Have you no witnesses to challenge, or has Truth been established the ready“?
“My witnesses have all deserted, that is, once they each realized to the fullest, gained all knowledge of those questions long unanswered, beheld the untrammeled splendor of the Accused, they have turned against me, leaving those accusations at my feet, at my disfavor. I have nothing to offer as evidence, my mask of deception has given way to all truth, the very thing I most dreaded. I withdraw.†the prosecutor finished.
“May the Accused no longer be the Accused but take His rightful place not only as Creator of all but also in accordance with the unanimous election, save but you Mr. Prosecutor, as Supreme and Everlasting Father of all that lives for ever and ever and ever.†proclaimed the foreman.
The Defense Attorney stepped forward. “Now all living creatures may know My Fatheras I have known Him, as I have proclaimed, as I have revealed, as I have lived among you. There is no injustice to be remember without knowing to that He that is Father to all things suffered every arrow that pierced, every sickness, every loss. Our Father, being the author of all good that can be found in humanity, far outreaches the hearts of man. Yet to fully know the Father’s Heart is an eternal quest, for which there is time. Welcome Home.â€Â
