I've been hearing that lately of peope describing some authors or preachers as Mystics. Like Howard Thurmon, a man I just learned about and listened to a lost lecture found on youtube.
I would like to get his books. BUT DOES MYSTICISM HAVE TO DO WITH ?‍♀️ CRAFT?

Christian mysticism refers to the development of mystical practices and theory within Christianity. It has often been connected to mystical theology, especially in the Roman Catholicism.
Never known a Mystic who was not involved in some kind of Kraft.

Here are some definitions:

a person who seeks by contemplation and self-surrender to obtain unity with or absorption into the Deity or the absolute, or who believes in the spiritual apprehension of truths that are beyond the intellect.

noun. a person who claims to attain, or believes in the possibility of attaining, insight into mysteries transcending ordinary human knowledge, as by direct communication with the divine or immediate intuition in a state of spiritual ecstasy.

Paul says it this way —

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
1 Corinthians 6:17

So it's a term given to those connected to God by the outside world?

You would think that would mean a mere Christian. Seeing that, if a Christian is one who follows Christ, then they would do what Christ did. Which is fasting, prayer, services those Disciplines for the Spiritual life. As Pauls training in this race.

I guess it can mean many things to many people.

I personally would have to give you a BIG AMEN on that one.

Others may disagree.
