What is proper Baptism? Are the baptisms in these videos Biblical?

Well, as long as they are baptised in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, then it's technically a legitimate baptism. I guess the ones on the video aren't exactly traditional, but tradition isn't the issue at hand.

It looks more like they are casting out demons to me. No, it is not biblical at all. They are simply putting on a show. I looks like they just want to draw attention to themselves. I don’t think Jesus approves. I could be wrong, but I don’t think so.

It's proper I guess if you believe you are witnessing a conversion. But having the fear of God, we should approach it with fear and trembling and with reverence.

""Proper baptism", is determined by which baptism is for today (as there is only one baptism) and done in the way the Bible teaches and for the reason the Bible teaches. ONLY such can be "proper baptism''.

God bless,

I would tend at agree.

That's another thing. You have to be baptised in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit - In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. The name of the Lord is the Lord Jesus and the name of the Lord Jesus is Jesus. This is He; the LORD, the bread of our God. Fear the glorious and awful name.

Just our of curiousity, are you a modalist or a Oneness Pentecostal?

I don't think God is all that nit picky over the formula. I was baptized twice. First in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Oneness Pentecostals told me that baptism didn't work because it wasn't done in Jesus name. I then got baptized in Jesus name. Hopefully, that one worked! :P

But it probably didn't work because I never spoke in tongues. :D

I don't know. I'm a servant of God. But what's a modalist or a Oneness Pentecostal?

Yeah, I think we should call on the name of the Lord and be baptised in his name to have the name of being alive.

Modalists and Oneness Pentecostals (AKA Jesus Only) do not believe in tbe trinity concept. They believe that Jesus is the Father and the Holy Spirit. But if that were true, how do they explain this verse:

Mathew 24:6
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

If the Son (Jesus) is the same as the Father, then Jesus should know the day and hour. This verse however, says otherwise.

The name of the Lord is the Lord Jesus Christ. So we should be baptised in the Lord Jesus Christ to be baptised in the name of the Lord.

Everyone seems to have a different idea. First I would say Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God. Some would say if the Word was God then logically God became flesh but that's not what the gospel says. It says the Word became flesh. John 1:14 They have to go back to the drawing board. My understanding is that the LORD became flesh or the light became flesh. In that light Jesus Christ was He who came in the name of God (I am the LORD). He was the wisdom of God in the name of God; the only begotten Son who was conceived by the Spirit of God. He took the form of a servant. In Acts 3:13-15 Peter says, 'the God of our fathers glorified his servant Jesus', and 'God raised him from the dead'. And Jesus said a servant is not greater than his master. It is enough to be like his master. So if Jesus was the righteous servant, then he was not equal to God but he was like his master. So I would say he was like God. So I wouldn't call myself a modalist or a Oneness Pentecostal either.

I'd say I'm still growing in the knowledge of God. In my view his master and our master is God. His Father is our Father. He is our Lord. God is his Lord. Jesus is greater than all except the one who made him Lord. No one is greater than the Father. The Father gave him life. We received our life through him. In all things we should thank the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks for explaining your position. I wouldn't say you are a Modalist.

Proper? There is nothing proper about it unless you want to call it a proper sham.
