What is sin? What is abiding in the light, and what is abiding in darkness and abiding in death?
What is continuing in both the Son and the Father, and having the Father and the Son ?
Knowing the truth ( Jesus Christ) is being made free. ( from knowing satan and lies)
The people of Israel answered back, they were never in bondage.
Jesus answer them, if they commit sins, they are servants ( in bondage) to sin. ( they require freeing)
The Son abides forever, ( continually) but the servants do not, so if the Son made those servants ( of sin) free, they would be free indeed. ( from servants to sin and death.)
Jesus the Son who abides forever and continually, had to ( as a corn of wheat) die, to not abide alone, and upon dying ( as the corn of wheat) brought forth much fruit( to life eternal)
Jesus came a light into the world ( darkness) that who believes in Him should not abide in darkness.
Jesus prayed the Father, to give us the Holy Ghost, to abide with us for ever ( the Son, to bear much fruit dyeing, when Jesus came to us, to dwell in us for ever.)
John 4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Sin is unbelief, Israel abides in unbelief, in sin, in darkness.
What is not of faith is sin and is damned.
If Christ was not raised, our faith is in vain as we are yet in the sin of unbelief ( we cannot believe until Christ was risen.)
But Christ did rise and became the firstfruits ( died and bore much fruit to life eternal.) As by Adam came the sin of unbelief in the Lords testimonies and the death the Lord testified to Adam, , but through man ( Jesus the Son of man.) came the resurrection of the dead.
Jesus our High Priest is without beginning of days, nor end of life ( in Him is life the life, is the light of man.)
John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of me
Romans 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
1 Corinthians 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
All do well to take heed to the testimonies of the Lords witnesses and His Holy Apostles, as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn and the day star arise in your hearts.
2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Believing in our heart unto righteousness, is hearing that word of faith that the Lords Holy Apostles preach.
Believing in our heart that God raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead ( as all of this testimony states) as with the heart man believes unto righteousness. Confessing with our mouth the Lord Jesus ( confession is made unto salvation.)
Confessing the Lord Jesus ( and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead.) is confessing our sins, acknowledging that God is declared to be faithful, to forgive our sins and clean us of all unrighteousness ( sin is unbelief and through belief in Christs rising we confess those sins by confessing the Lord Jesus Christ in our heart and by our mouth.)
Romans 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Now we say that we are in Him ( abiding in Christ) to walk even as He walked.
If we love our brother( walking even as Christ walked.) we abide in the light ( we abide in Christ.) and we never stumble in that light.
This is why the Apostles of the Lord write to us ( the word of faith.) so that the Word of God ( Jesus Christ.) abides in us, so we overcome the wicked one. ( not abiding in unbelief of Gods testimonies in darkness and death.)
If what we heard from the beginning ( the beginning of Gods word to Adam to be believed.) abides in us, ( Gods Word) if the Word remains in us, we continue in the Son and in the Father.
Now we abide in Him ( in the Son and in the Father.) to have confidence before Him when He appears at His coming and to not be ashamed.
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
1 John 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
1 John 2:14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
1 John 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Now we are called the sons of God, and the world did not know the Son, therefore it does not know us.
Sin is the transgression of the law, and we know the Son of God was manifested to us to take away our sins ( of unbelief in Gods Word.) as in Him ( in the Word) is no sin. ( no unbelief, He is faithful and cannot deny Himself.)
If we abide in Christ, we sin not, because we have seen Him and known Him.
We know we pass from death ( in darkness and in death/unbelief.) because we love the brothers. ( b now abiding in the light.) and they who do not love their brother yet abide in death. ( in the sin of unbelief in darkness.)
2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
The sin that is not unto death is unbelief, in ignorance, but we obtain mercy and God gives us life for them that sin not unto death. ( in unbelief in ignorance.)
All unrighteousness is sin, ( unbelief.) and the sin that is not unto death is ignorance. (which we did before.)
Who transgresses and then does not abide in the doctrine of Christ, they have not got God.
He who abides in the doctrine of Christ ( in the doctrine according to godliness. 1 Timothy 6:3.) has both the Father and the Son.
1 Timothy 1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
