What is wrong with abortion?

What is wrong with abortion?

Those who exercise true love respect all human beings irrespective of their appearance or size. They, therefore, recognize the humanity of a one cell stage human being by recognizing that it is an independent life form with human genes; and has a human life force within it that initiates, directs and sustains a process to take that person through successive stages of development (over many years) to transform that person from a single cell individual to a fully grown human being with 10 trillion cells, multiple complex systems and a brain with a memory capacity equal to 20,000 computers. They, therefore see destruction of human beings in the embryonic and fetal stage as murder. They also see such an act as gross violation of human rights because it denies the victim from reaching his/her full human potential.

What is wrong with abortion?

It is murder.

It is murder for the sake of convenience.

It is the ultimate elevation of self.

"Self" is the opposite of love (1 Cor. 13)

And let it be known that conception is the moment at which we become a person.

Claiming it occurs during a further stage of development is arbitrary.

There is a not too old thread in Christian Talk and Advice which may interest you all that ask whether or not abortion is murder.

If I destroy the newly laid eggs of a bald eagle I'm quite sure I would be prosecuted for crimes against an endangered species even though there would be very little development, if any, within the egg that looks anything like a bald eagle.
But it's different with humans? Why is that? If something is endangered then it's considered a crime against said species no matter what stage of development that life is in. But if not endangered then that idea no longer holds as true and stage of development now becomes a consideration?
:confused

Abortion is genocide.

Ever notice how 'pro-choice' (as if they give you one) advocates like to give unborn babies names like "fetus" or "embryo" so as to make the baby seem sub-human?

The most dangerous place in America is in the womb.

Agreed.

Of course. It's easier to rationalize murder that way. :halo :verysad

Abortion is a sin. Only God has the right to take away lives. It kills an innocent human being. By the time most women know they are pregnant (about 3 weeks after conception), their baby's heart is already beating.

So what do we all do about it? Just agree with one another that abortion is murder and rest in our knowledge that the procedure is evil? Are we willing to risk our freedom by marching in protest? Or are we too chicken to do so?

If it were our already-born brothers, sisters, parents, or children, who were being killed left and right, would we be so passive about it?

Things we can do:

1. Be politically active. We have to vote the right people into office.

2. Stand with those that are opposing abortion. Let our voices be heard and speak for the unborn children.

3. Support ministries that are pro life. These people need money to fight abortion.

Protesting can be good, but it seems to bring out the worst in people as well as hate groups.

There are many ministries out there that fight abortion like equip.org, bottradio network, Hank Hanagraph,wayofthemaster.com, etc..
