Mmmmmm, we have an elderly neighbor lady who lives in our valley, who makes caramel apples every year to hand out to the kids. I always have them get one for me. I don't know how she does it, but her caramel doesn't get impossibly hard and sticky. It remains soft and you can eat it without having to chew it forever. And the flavor is out of this world. Ymmmmy!
