What is your ministry?

Ministry is your personal work for God. Look at your ministry from this stand point. It’s your work, not your uncle’s. What do you want to see as the result of your life and work? What did God tell you about your ministry? Move ahead according to that.
Learn to defend your ministry, because there will be many, who won’t like it. Learn to be happy with your work all by yourself, because you won’t always find support right away. Did you figure out what you want to do for God? Is it scriptural? Go for it! Know how to:
-worship
-wait
-work
-rest
My ministry in Russia is to help the poor, street children and youth.
What is your ministry?

Preach and teach the Truth, show people how to study and learn from the Scriptures themselves, which helps them walk closer to God.

Do you lead a cell group or church or youth minstry?
Do you want to come to Moscow for a short missions trip? you can teach the word here.

The Lord enables me to do His work in many areas. Although I've been away for about 4 months, I enjoy doing jail ministries. (I'm currently doing some additional personal study to become a better layman) It's hard work and you get asked a lot of tough questions, but it's very rewarding when you win a friend to the Lord, or at least plant a seed.

In a way, jail ministries help me because it helps me study the Bible in such a way that it empowers others around me to dig themselves out of the mire while giving them hope that they do have choices and the freedom that they can find in Christ, when all too often every thing around them looks so bleak through their hardened eyes.

That being said, I think my biggest ministry is right inside my own house, my place of employment and our neighbors. (like the one who pulled our oldest son out of the snowbank on Saturday)

Great! Is your son o.k.?

I grew up wanting to be a missionary. I can never remember wanting anything different...to teach children of the love of Christ. To teach them hymns to worship Him. To feed them, clothe them, nurse them back to health when they were sick, and show them love daily in a way that points them to Christ.

I got off track, and pursued a career that was orginally just a love for specific acedemics. Then, I married a wondeful man, and we had three lovely children. I stayed home, took care of all of them, and God used me more than He ever had before.

Finallly, I realized that my life was a ministry...every little aspect of it. Every meal I prepared, kitchen I cleaned, runny nose I wiped, and diaper I changed. To live love. To be hospitable to family and friends, and to meet the needs of loved ones, and neighbors...this is my missionary work. It is humble, but I am thankful that the Lord has provided so many opportunities for me, and my family, to give to others...as He did.

I am not a faithful minister, I must admit, but I long to be. I see how my life, and the gift of grace, that God has given me, is a beacon in a lost world...every step I take is an opportunity to light the way to Christ. That is my ministry. The Lord bless you.

WOW! What a great ministry you have. I agree that to minister to those around you is an important ministry.
