What makes you sin more?

Well... Neither. Poverty is my calling, and I am trying to be abundant in Glorifying God. I would agree JesusBoy86 worldy woman are just too indiscreet now days. I always tell the ones closest to me to put more on. Can't help it in the summer time I guess.

Poverty or abundance?

Honestly, in my case it's abundance.

Even though I have all I need and then some, some would say I was impoverished and they would be correct on certain scales. Even with that, I'd say abundance.

That was probably not always the case as I used to do things to keep my self from poverty that I can't/don't do now. But that's fine with me.

Actually, there is a lot more involved with that question than meets the eye so, put my last comment on indefinite hold.:)

Being the Seed of Abraham, Poverty is not your calling.

Women and their clothing

Women without clothing for me.

Send the extra my way, and we will fix that sin issue for you.

Is the path of poverty any less righteous then that of abundance? Proverbs 28:6

James 2:5 is a good verse to really describe who I am and how I walk. Romans 12:4 states we do not have the same function in life.

Even though we are of one body brother Mike, you do not know my personal relationship with God; or even for that matter my heart. My flesh is ashamed of my status yet , my spirit rejoices.

Be blessed.

Did I hit a sour note here?

A man's worth is not contained in the substance in which he has. -Jesus

Just because your rich, does not mean you have to be perverse.

God does choose the poor of this Word, but not so they can stay that way. The rich are self sufficient, they look to the money first, not God. A wonder why a lot of them are not turning to God.

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
(Job 36:11)

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
(Psa 112:1-3)

I have scriptures also, and while we don't have the same office, same callings, none of those callings were to poverty. In fact, it's impossible to put God first in all things, Obey him, serve him, and stay broke. No man has accomplished that.

If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
(Luk 16:11-12)

Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste? Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
(Hag 1:4-7)

Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
(Hag 1:9)
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
(Mat 6:31-33)

So here is the deal. If you have put God first every time you have gotten paid, laid it aside and said, "Lord, Your first, where do you want a portion of this money to go?"

You can tell real quick who is first, your own house or the Lords, by just looking at where the checks are written first. The women that dropped her last two mites, all she had, got her act mentioned in the book, forever.

I am not buying. People hand me money all the time, just last week, some women handed us 100.00. I have never done without, Never had to be concerned about a bill. The bank even sent us a paper saying our car loan was paid off and we still owed 1,200 bucks on it. Have no idea who did that.

I put God first though, even if I get a little bit of money, God gets a 10th of it. I'll sow all my bill money and have more than once if the Lord asks me.

I am not buying into your poverty calling. I am not judging either, I am always available if you have questions. I want you to have everything your suppose to have, to do what your suppose to do.

be blessed.

Because of the tricky nature of getting said what I feel needs to be said and at the same time, trying to stay out of trouble/fights...a quick disagree/agree and then I feel it best to drop out.

Agree,

And pray about it if you should want to change that calling. Anything is possible with God

Just spit it out brother Kenny, please, I promise to be nice. You say you don't agree, where is your scriptures? If you just don't agree because of general opinion, fine also. What is it you don't agree and why. I promise to be nice.

Mike

No brother Mike, I am not sour. Thank you for the scriptures. Though who is it your trying to convince, me, yourself, God?...

I am not selling anything so I don't require for you to believe. Just like the worldy who judge my virginity or say its false. Only God knows, so what benefit is there to quarrel. I understand you care and you see my walk as... Lesser then thou?

Just because we have higher callings brother, doesn't mean through the worldy.
I can't trust myself with high amounts of money. I please myself over him feeding the flesh over the spirit. That path only leads to death, so you say I should lead this suicide?

To clear your personal confusion about my own life...

I don't plan on this forever.
I will stay here until I achieve my spiritual goal.
I don't see my self lesser then anyone.
I am not a martyr.
When I achieve said spiritual goal, then shall all things be applied.

I am not here to debate or argue. Proverbs 15:18

Also consider this my end post on this matter.:wave2

That's fine, I am around if you need.

Interesting how some guys are so quick to blame their sin on women's clothing (or lack of it). I wonder, just to make a subtle point, how many guys among us go swimming at a pool, beach, or whatever and wear more clothing than the women do? It always struck me as strange that the same guy that only wears a pair of shorts or swimming trunks in public, baring the rest of his body, will then criticize a woman who (at least in most places) must cover the top part of her body in addition to the lower part that they guy must cover. Exactly who is it that maybe should have the greater right to mention another's lack of clothing as being a stumbling block to sin? :shrug

I never put down any women who wear less clothing or even none. I had more comments, but I am trying to stay un-banned for at least a month 1/2. I am shooting for a new record.

I wasn't responding to your posts in particular, but rather to all of the posts in this thread as well as others where guys seem to want to blame their own sin on women and the clothes they wear.
